Imagine

Imagine,

you're in a deep, sound sleep.

Suddenly, the calf muscles in both legs seize up at the same time as tight as the skin on a snare drum. Knocks the nocturnal boner right out you as you struggle to get off the bed, and try to stand and walk to get the tendons to release.

That's what the wildly changing winter weather barometer brought last night at 3:23AM.

Then, a deep ache in my legs.

and I'm wiped out.

Ask your doctor what Muscular Dystrophy can do for you.

Oy.

See you on Monday...and I hope you all have a good weekend.

I can say "i know how you must feel" because i DO know from personal experience. A decade ago, for about 2 years i used to suffer excruciating cramp in my right calf at night (thankfully rare now), the sudden pain each time driving me to tears, as a result of a herniated disc in my lower spine. I can SO feel for you having that pain doubled by the calf muscles of both legs seizing at the same time, buddy.

Sorry you had nocturnal leg pain. It can be extremely painful and may be a result of too low an amount of magnesium. Ask your doctor about magnesium supplements. Hope you feel better! Be well. Andy

About two months ago I was lying on the couch and all of a sudden I think I got what was my first ever charlie horse. I thought my leg felt it would be split in two. I walked it off also. If that's like what you experiences you have my sympathies.

Lessee-- leg cramps. My sister had to give up her daily statin cholesterol drug because it gave her leg cramps.

I've had cramps from time to time. Fortunately one leg at a time! Popular relief is potassium (bananananas) and water (if you're dehydrated at all).

I know you have other issues that may be causing your cramps. Need someone to massage them away?

I hope it is not serious and that it will pass quickly. Maybe a cooling? I hope this is not a start of arthritis or osteoarthritis.

I wish you a wondrous weekend.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

I truly appreciate all the suggestions for potassium and magnesium, etc... This is all from my Muscular Dystrophy....

So sorry that you have to go through that! I know that pain from my past. Fortunately, hasn't happened for a while. My toes cramp sometimes, though. Very uncomfortable.

Oh. I am so sorry you have to go through such things. Just awful. Hope you are doing better. Rest. Drink lots of water! Kisses.

Anon friend here - Sounds like you need a leg massage buddy!

My condolences. I've only started getting cramp in my right calf occasionally in the past year and that's bad enough, but both legs simultaneously is too horrible to contemplate.

You were going so well with erections recently too: I wonder if they are linked in some way.

Go through same thing but have only had it happen once while sleeping. Worse is when it spreads up to your thighs. A hard dick dont stand a chance against it when that happens. Soft within seconds.

Since I been taking zinc & magnesium supplements for last couple of years its hardly ever happened. When it does happen for me now all I do is stand. Put pressure on it and it stops very quickly. Forces the muscle to function normally again. Lifting leg in the air is just asking for it to go to your thighs and massaging it the tension is going to be there again when you stand.

So sorry, Big.
Just read you're feeling better today!

So sorry to hear what you have to go through, Whack. But your sharing of it here educates me and many others. Thanks for being open about this. I hope research creates better options for people with Muscular Dystrophy.

@ T - The worst for me: The diaphragm. OMG...pain like you wouldn't believe. First time it happened, I honestly thought I was going to die.
