I am aghast at what Trump and his minions are doing – ignoring treaty obligations (such as protecting Ukraine), alienating our allies, making moves that may destroy our economy, and the worst: threatening to ignore court orders. If that happens and isn't stopped, then the U.S. will have become a dictatorship. Pat, I'm sure the vast majority of your readers agree with you (most of them are gay; how could they not oppose the sanctimonious right wing?). The Trump supporters are just very vocal.

You have an opinion, shout out your indignation and concern for what you are witnessing. This is your blog, your forum to help right the wrong, and even if you open the eyes of just one person, you will have accomplished your(our) mission. The dismissal and total neglect of concern for our Veterans, you and me and many more, is disgusting to see and impossible for us to neglect. I am in need of hearing aids badly, have been for years since blowing my ears out for the NSA effort. It's slowly ramped up but I have stayed out of asking for benefits from the VA because I know any money allocated to their services by Congress(never enough) can be used for people more needy than I. If this fiasco in Washington DC finally take this current administration down, I may explore my medical benefits at that time. Stay strong my friend, we need you to share your insightful thoughts on many subjects.

I am very afraid that we are slipping faster each day. Can you imagine Putin attacking a NATO country once Trump has engaged this country in a civil war? That's what I see happening.
As I've told my wife, the market is all "air money." None of it's real until you've got it in your hand to spend. But, yeah, it's not good - feels like a slow freefall.

I haven't used the VA, but I have friends who do because they cannot afford anything else. Privatizing every damn thing isn't going to make it better.
