Pain relief AFTER circumcision leading to autism? I think it's more likely the extreme trauma of circumcision itself fucks up the brains of some boys subjected to it, possibly those not given pain relief afterwards either.
Infants are helpless and completely dependent on parents for protection, so they are forming this positive connection with them. What do you think might happen to this connection when the infant is not protected, but subjected to unimaginable pain that can not be communicated, where even screams are ignored?

There is a belief that most never remember it. I certainly don't remember mine at the age of two days.
Our government is run by some very bad and some very crazy people.
I don't believe the subconscious forgets anything of major importance, even though it may not be accessible to the conscious. Negative experiences are treated by organisms as more important than positive experiences, because it's in the long term interest of that organism to remember the bad and avoid it in future. It would not surprise me if the subconscious is the repository of the worst experiences so they are never forgotten, but prompt the individual without having to think about it.
When I think about the most extreme autistic reactions, you can kind of see something too enormous to convey with conventional language.
