Oh Dear Upton, we all know that these workshops stand for dormitories, toilets (with or w/o stalls), cars on parking lots at night (why wait for the night to come?), back-alleys, library rows, thickets (all of us explored them at least once, did we not?), not to mention our particular affection for beaches bordered with dunes (those with groves of pine trees preferably) etc
To us men, any place can lead to an any workshop of such.
I remember a young mother in my family saying about her baby who was sucking her thumb: "it's like a reflex, he found this all by himself."

Actually, it's pretty funny, growing up, I associated penetration with women and with romantic feelings; nonpenetrative sex, such as masturbation, sword fights, Princeton rub, that's just being bros (and the idea that it was specifically for two guys).
I think it's a cultural thing. When you grow up on an Indian reservation, any man who actually liked being penetrated is seen as a third gender.
