As a Canadian voter, the issue of this national election is satisfying but I would have liked a majority government to negociate more at ease with this scumbag who is your president. But must also say that the position of all of the three other parties over 47 is the same: Canada first and never we will be the 51st state of USA. Mark Carney has a strong portfolio as he was at the head of our Bank of Canada for many years ( his signature is on our $20 bill) and was also in past years the head of UK Bank too. He knows more about economics than 47 who did alot of bankcrupcies in his past life.. Be sure that we like Americans but not the ones now who are sadly leading your great country. In my family I have many relatives from the past who are living in USA, mainly in Boston Mass, and Provindence, RI. The future of our countries is now in the hands of our new Prime Minister and your felon president...
I hope Carney sticks to his guns.... Buddy up to the EU, put The Felon in his place. I think Canada could very well become "the leader of the free world."
It will be interesting to see what voter turned out was. Lack of voter turnout is what got Trump elected in 2024.. In 2020 Biden got 8 million more votes than Trump, but in 2024 of those 8 million, 7.2 million stayed home and didn’t vote for anyone, and Trump won by only a slim 1.4% margin. Hugs and bisous
There seems to be a commonly held theory that a sample of a few thousand people is enough to get a fairly accurate idea of the voting pattern of the entire population. If that is the case, it doesn't matter that not everyone votes as long as the vote distribution remains proportional. However, I don't believe 50% + 1 represents a majority as it's within the noise band and you would likely get just as accurate a result by tossing a coin: majorities need to be substantially higher to exist outside the noise and be genuine majorities, not a butterfly flapping its wings in Beijing.
