Rob and Michelle Reiner's deaths hit me hard. Don't know why. I didn't know them. Maybe because of his work in film and TV, and their activism for human rights. Maybe it's simply that they were both decent human beings. Maybe because it happened on top of the senseless shootings at Brown University and in Sydney, Australia.

Totally understandable, lots hate around the world right now. I hope the holiday season gives some folks a bit of time to reflect and realize what truly is important.
Rob and his wife were great human beings.
That's why it's hit us that way. They were very involved with causes that rang true to their core values. These were people with integrity, something that's sorely lacking in the White House these days.

I got off line this morning and went and wrapped presents at the local VFW. They are having a party for under privileged / homeless children this weekend. I feel like some part of the world righted itself... just a bit... for a moment.

Yes we need the balance. The horrible deaths, and the narcissist who is out of touch with the nation, has almost killed the spirit of Christmas. Clips of Reiner’s take of the Charlie Kirk murder versus the narcissists’ reaction clearly shows who actually has grace and class.
