Stonewall, and the lesser-known 1966 Compton's Cafeteria riot (3 years *before* Stonewall) in the Tenderloin neighborhood, marked pivotal moments in trans resistance, where transgender women, drag queens, and queer patrons fought back against police harassment. Have a good one!
Happy Trans Day of Visibility!
We cannot be Proud if we’re not all treated equally.
XOXO
And I love that you mentioned Compton's.... many have no idea such a thing happened before Stonewall.
Thanks, Rick!
It was. Right up until the SCOTUS ruling.
XOXO
I don't get why Compton isn't as recognized....

Equality means respecting everyone. Love, peace and respect to all.
