Even under normal circumstances some men have difficulty getting a full erection, or managing to ejaculate.
Those can be detrimental to your health - mentally as well as physically.
The worst thing is that the typical guy will grow ever more anxious and compound the problem. Waking day after day not greeted by the usual morning wood, not being able to rouse even the slightest boner.
Then, of course, the balls start to ache and the frustration builds even further.
We think of sex therapists as people who are there to help us get back in the saddle after a traumatic experience. But, they help many guys learn to regain the ability after prostate surgery - or from some other issue causing ED. And, part of that process is Masturbation Coaching.
But, they not only help in that process, many will help people rediscover the pleasure to be found in their bodies. As Sophia Benoit points out, "it may sound like a fake job title cooked up by a calculating Bachelorette producer, it's a real job that helps people," in the July 2019 GQ article, "What It's Like to Go to a Masturbation Coach."
"In fact," she continues, "masturbation coaching is one of the best tools sex therapists and coaches have to help with erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and inability to orgasm. But it can also be helpful for folks who simply want to improve their overall sex skills or increase their pleasure." [bold is mine]
In this time of "shelter at home," some coaches are not only willing but prepared to do therapy sessions via video chats. Licensed ones may use secure chats that comply with HIPPA regs. They're easy to find with a simple internet search, like Emancipating-Sexuality in San Francisco.
This is not jacking off. Much of what they will teach is what I (and others) have been saying: Mindful Masturbation. Learning to be in the moment and aware of the pleasure centers.
You've got all weekend. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
Now, get out of the bedroom.
And masturbate.

When you mentioned this in the previous post, I was like, seriously? And now, this balls ache situation, that can't be real? :D
Maybe I shouldn't even want to know about it now that I don't have to... xD
Mindful masturbation is my new mantra.
Also, that last photo!
XoXo
All great info as always. I will have to read that link you enclosed. An interesting read I bet And I must add that fourth picture is quite the specimen of a cock. Goodness gracious.
believe me: I'll masturbate till my last ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈
Thanks for the great post and link to the coaching article. I've been working on practicing and refining my mindful masturbation practice for several years now. I keep finding additional ways to expand and deepen the process. I can attest to the increased pleasure and sensitivity, greater conscious control of the muscles in the pelvic area, and stronger, firmer erections (for an older guy with mild ED). Please continue the great work you do, and stay well.
Someone commented yesterday, "Everything is in your head." That is true until you reach an age where you may need something else. Sometimes it is Cialis or Viagra. So good to know the cause of the problem.
Hugs and Bisous.
The other day my brother told me about a controversy with his brother-inlaw. He's expecting a son and his brother-inlaw asked about how long they'll wait for the circumcision. Brother said he wouldn't do it, it never passed through his mind and the inlaw said he should think about the kid's health and do it, that's the right thing to do.
One of Inlaw's main argument is that it prevents urinary infections cause the foreskin can accumulate all sorts of residues. Brother start advocating the benefits of foreskin, so inlaw mind his own prick.
But I recalled the time I had urinary infection in my teen and I was medicated and father had my first grown up male talk. He called us both to the garage and said we should bath every day with special attention to the willy to first wash the front and then the butt, to pull the skin quite back and wash the glans with a hand full of soap not just the fingers, so he showed us how to do it grabbing the air ...back then I remember I almost asked them to show off...
My brother didn't recalled this talk, but asked me how many times I had it again, none. Brother says father always was against circumcision, as we are all uncut. I never thought about it, is it a real concern?
Who's right?
That was an interesting article and, of course, an excellent post! Stay safe!
@ Anon - Yes, it is a concern for uncut males... Urinary infection, prostate infection can easily hit is one is not careful to retract the foreskin and wash under it well. The moist environment is a safe harbor for all manner of bacteria. As my step-mom said when delivering the talk, "Always keep it clean!"
@ Hot Guys - Oh, yeah...seriously. Glad you've never experienced the achy balls - it's really quite a nuisance. But, managing to cum cures it.
@ Jean - The experts can guide us if we have the fortitude to be open and ask. Sadly, men are afraid to ask!
