For Now

Good morning.

Mifepristone is safe. For now.

SCOTUS ruling came down unanimous. BUT...

the reasoning for the decision is not solid. Cavanaugh writes: "...the plantiff(s) lacked standing." Meaning they (the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, an anti abortion organization, which filed the case) could not show or prove injury.

Thomas in his concurring opinion, questioned whether the court should revisit a 47-year old ruling (Hunt v Washington Sate Apple Advertising Commission) which said an organization could not sue unless it met certain conditions. He believes the Alliance is "two degrees removed" from the "injured parties;" which would be the anti-abortion members of the alliance.

Bottom line: Be prepared for this case to be brought again using individual members.

Activists protest at the Supreme Court as the justices hear oral arguments in the Food and Drug Administration v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine case on March 26. (Bill Clark/CQ Roll Call)

Happy Friday.

Have a terrific weekend.

I was shocked when it came back unanimous, and leave it to Thomas - oh, he didn't do his homework, someone handed that little time bomb to him. He's such a lazy f*ck. I can't wait until he's replaced. But the unanimous thing surprised me... but then, no. It's a pharmaceutical company that would be injured, so... repulsivecans have a thing about protecting them so they continue to price gouge the poor and middle class.

This is exactly what I told someone today. It's not over. They'll wait until Cheeto is in office and then they will vanish contraception. Yep. That's the plan.

XOXO

OMG! All of those SCOTUS rulings are becoming very very sad and almos bad for the freedom of life in USA.
While they are no rules on their dirty behaviors, they can rule on the lives of many like women and LGBTQ etc....

To extend, over the aborion pill, they might now rule that masturbation with cumshots is like killing «babies-to-be» and rule against anyone to do it.

Could happen because they are leaning towward the dark ages of middle age beliefs.

@ JiEL - And, today, another disastrous ruling reversing the ban on bump stocks for AR-style weapons. That means Las Vegas' Route 91 Harvest Festival-style massacres are once again legal.

In ain’t over til it’s over. This is just a pause, the decisions were put back to the states to create the chaos to slow the whole process down. Now every state is trying to reinvent the wheel, which is the plan.

If you don’t show up and vote, this is what happens. But happy Fridays do finally come.

Hugs and bisous.

The un-supreme court is just giving everyone a lul and a false sense of security before the storm. You best believe they will revisit this issue.
Some will be fooled that the un-supremes have moderated themselves, NOT !
