Fun in the Sun

Happy Solstice!

For the Northern Hemisphere, go have some fun in the sun.

Just remember to use plenty of sunscreen, and stay hydrated.

Excellent advice regarding sunscreen, and the fact of staying hydrated. I am delighted to see your wish to bake in the sun fulfilled. It seems that it is not incompatible.

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Have a wondrous day with a happy solciste.

And what a non-glorious first day of summer it’s been… The weather was mostly rainy, with a few sunshines here and then. And the forecast says the evening shall be stormy, which is probably right judjing by the thunder I heard no more than ten minutes ago. Spring here has been way more rainy than the usual, and I didn’t expect the first summer day to be any different. Yet I know the hoping child in me was thinkink that maybe... :-)

Summer is fun, except for the bug bites, splinters in the foot, dancing on the hot sand, sand EVERYWHERE, Sunburns in all the wrong places, poison ivy, high humidity and BEACH TRAFFIC.

. But who’s complaining, soon it will be dark, cold and grim, and we will think back fondly of summer. Hugs and bisous.

@ Rick - Oooooo, I didn't know about that. Cool!

@ Laurent - Damn.... Sorry to hear that. I shall hope alongside you for Summer to arrive there ASAP.

@ Jean - Ah, yes, I could do without the bug bites. The mosquitos which have arrived here in the desert are quite the nasty little things. Blister-like welts that itch like crazy. While I don't deal with beach traffic or sand, the Cool Decking isn't very cool - you have to prance pretty fast to the water.

Fall will be here before we know it...along with the anxiety leading into November. Hugs and bisous!

Sadly, the weather did not cooperate. We had a gloomy day... and seem stuck in a pattern for awhile now. Hopefully by Monday things will turn around. I need me some summer.
