GOOD MORNING
I think.
See that map? NV has 0 (zero) banned books.
For now.
You all know how much I absolutely hate censorship and book banning.
Well, the book banners and burners have made headway into infiltrating here. The vice-chair of the local Moms for Liberty (there's an oxymoron) actually made it through the primary for our school district Board of Directors. How do I know this? She was being interviewed on TV news about her victory and the need to ban books.
Pardon me while I go puke,
scream at the illiterates of the universe,
and throw a tantrum in the middle of the street.
Now, I think I'll go read a banned book.
Happy fuckin' Thursday....

Well, we all know the Repugs love the ignorant and the illiterate. Remember that the Golden Calf speaks at the third grade level..
XOXO
This country is swirling down the toilet.
My favorite image is the one with the Peanuts cartoon.
Hugs And bisous, my beloved Jean and Pat.
Happy Thursday...
First they ban books, then they burn them.
Then they ban people, then they burn them.:(
History repeats itself.
Unbelievable seeing this from Canada how those religious and political extremists in USA are behaving in such a «nazi» way.
We had some books bans here but in the mid 20th century and after 1960 this wasn't anymore in use here.
It's like USA is going back in time which means that being «conservative» is more being «regressive» and not only on book bans but also on women's rights and soon on any rights like black voters' rights and LGBTQ rights etc...
USA is no more the beecon of Freedom and Liberty in the world.
It drive one nuts. And in the few primaries...most of the republicans incumbents beat there GOP primary opponents. That means the same old asshole coming back in less they hopefully lose in the general against a Democrat.
@ Anon - When they get to burning "witches" it will be a sure sign the country has fallen.
@ JiEL - 100% correct.
@ Maddie - Montana managed to defeat all the MAGA candidates in the primary. I wish the same could be said for the rest of the country.
At least the folks in your city will know what is coming, and may be prepared with has been successful in other cities combating this. Often times it’s the outrage of the citizens saying we are not going to allow a small minority to decide what books we or our children can read. And as long as parents give their OK, that has worked well.
Hugs and bisous.
Book banning... just a shiny object in the conservatives playbook of fearmongering. F 'em. They just keep coming for us... and they always will.
