Yesterday was Columbus Day. Or Indigenous Peoples Day, depending upon your frame of reference.
Yesterday was also National Homeless Day. We have a lot of people living on the street - a lot are young people being tossed out. Support youth shelters.
Today is the Canadian Thanksgiving Day. Happy Turkey Day to all my Canadian readers.

Au Canada, c’est action de grâces: Thanksgiving, et nous aurons du rosbif, des légumes racines, de pommes de terre au four et un tarte à la citrouille aromatisée au brandy :)
Nos proches dans les provinces maritimes auront un dîner jiggs de viande bouillie et de légumes avec un gâteau aux poires pour dessert.

Columbus did not discover anything, so it's Indigenous People's Day. Because THEY had to put up with the extermination...
So, anyway, I learned from Debra earlier it was Thanksgiving in Canada! Who knew?
