It's a shame! The need for postponement was certainly foreseeable earlier than at the last minute. But for us, it gave us an excellent selection of photos. Courage, Pat.
When it comes to "asking forgiveness rather than pemission--"
In the town I grew up in a contractor started construction on a house before he had all of the permits. The foundation (I believe it was more than a slab) was poured.
The inspector came by, shut them down, a made them rip out the concrete work. Probably a once-in-a-lifetime event!
I hope to be naked a lot of the time this weekend...it no rain. Suppose to be a scorcher!!!! I'm off to the Woods later tomorrow and then will be busy with doing my interior styling of the kitchen project....so keep everyone in line...Ill return in a week.
All is not lost for the day, at least they saw that people are interested in what is going on. Also we appreciate the inspirational photos! Just when you think the heat and humidity is bad, we are now in the middle of a tropical storm. hugs and bisous.
@ PaulM - Yep, once the plans are submitted and approved - that's what everyone is committed to. This is why we must continue to show up at the Commissioners' meetings until this is off the drawing board.

ps-- get it in writing!!
Ugh. Hate when that happens.
Hope they have not reconsidered the whole thing. That would suck.
XOXO
Well... look at it this way: you have another opportunity to play dress-up. Perhaps consider a costume next time. Something festive. Kizzes.

@ Upton - Hmm. Maybe I could borrow an Inspector's polo shirt. LOL Kisses!
@ Jean - I hope it at least dropped the temps a little bit. Hugs and bisous.
Those men look like they're enjoying the nature. 💚😉
