Any Suggestions?

Finished reading Grisham's new book Camino Ghosts. An entertaining book with some wonderful history lessons on the early slave trade.

So, now I'm feeling lazy...

and looking for another good book.

Any suggestions?

If you like a crime novel, "unnatural death" by Patricia Cornwell is excellent
It is a part of the Scarpetta series, but you don't have to have read any of them before to read this one

The slave trade did not inspire any shame in slave traffickers: it was enough to declare that they were animals subject to forced labor at will.

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Have a great Thursday.

I have five books in my queue right now and haven't started one of them. I'm not a huge reader come summer, what with a busy calendar and vacation schedule. But I'm shocked when autumn arrives.

I just finished reading Julian Jaynes..."The Origin of Consciousness In The Breakdown Of The Bicameral Mind" not exactly summer reading but for the last 6 weeks I've been recuperating from donating a kidney. Next up is "All That Remains" by Sue Black (if you liked the television series "Bones" you will like Sue Black's books)

Pick up anything by Grady Hendrix - especially The Final Girl Support Group and The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. I think they will make excellent movies and are great reads.

Try "Fellow Travellers" the actual book. It is a much better read than the mini-series. (The mini-series had some really tantalizing scenes, however!!)
