Good morning.
Still awaiting full damage assessment from my sister. No power, no running water.
The storm surge in the bay didn't materialize because Milton made landfall over Siesta Key. A lot of flooding, though, due to enormous amount of rainfall. Most damage is due to the Cat 3 winds. The entire roof was ripped off Tropicana Field stadium.
As MTG insists that the Biden administration has a giant --- but secret, mind you --- machine in Alaska to control the weather...
Have a stress free day.

Thanks for the update. Love the GIFs.
I'm sorry about more damage and chaos for your sister luckily she is ok... glad you still have a sense of humor
We heard from our friends from St. Petersburg, and they were safe in Orlando. They are not sure about their first-floor condo yet. Still waiting to hear from the friends in New Symernia Beach. Daytona which is just north got 14 inches of rain.
I thought they were a good way to show assessment from a balcony. 😁
Thanks, Boz.
We have to keep a sense of humor. Otherwise depression would kill us.
St. Pete got 18.31" of rain. Lot's of flooding because of that - and lots of wind damage. Good thing they were in Orlando to ride it out.
In France too the climate is wreaking terrible havoc everywhere. Let's hope it calms down soon.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean an d Pat.
Have a great Thursday.
I wish you a speedy recovery and it's good knowing you're safe. Big Dude
Hurricane season typically ends in November. We hope that's the case.
Hugs and bisous.
Thanks!
Terrible, terrible situation.
And fuck Marge Three Names and all the MAGAts spreading misinformation. Ugh.
XOXO
The problem with climate change is that its unlikely to calm down but get worse in the future. Instead of paying the price in choice of fuel, human beings went with the least superficial cost and now have to pay the price with climate change. What is going to be the cost of replacing damaged buildings, or, if it gets worse, relocating millions of people, in future?
There used to be a saying "You buy cheap, you buy twice", but I don't think it quite covers "You buy cheap, you pay the future consequences".
Weird how no one will be held accountable for all the misinformation. The media just uses it to fill a story cycle and moves on... like this is just the way it is? SMH
