Catch!

Morning

It's Fat Tuesday. Personally, I have a hankering for some of Maddie's traditional Beignets. Yum!

Happy Mardi Gras!
May you catch many beads.

"I wanted to ask you if you or anyone you know has ever had a problem with payronese? (not sure of spelling). I'm in my 60s and I've recently noticed that my boner has developed an unusual curve that it's never had before. A lady I was with recently (I'm bi) commented on it too. It hasn't affected my sexual activity/performance, but should I see a doctor or be concerned? I'd appreciate any feedback."

What you describe is Peyronies Disease - which isn't really a "disease" at all. It's a bend or unnatural curve along the shaft that is plaque scar tissue. Somewhere along the line, you cracked or fractured the Tunica, the fibrous sheath surrounding the soft/spongy tissue that collects the blood to form an erection.

Most men don't know when the damage happened - you may have rolled over on a boner when you were sleeping, you may have pulled or pushed your cock in the wrong way while jacking off, you may have jammed it somehow during penetrative sex.

The severity of the bend / curve would determine the proper treatment. A very minor one would probably not require anything at all as long as it doesn't bother you or interfere with sexual activity. Bear in mind, it could continue to get worse over time.

If a partner has noticed, it may be time to see a doctor - a urologist who can treat it. He will (or should) evaluate the amount of scar tissue and the severity of the bend in order to determine a path forward. That treatment could be as simple as applying a steroid cream to dissolve the scar tissue before it builds up too much.

I haven't had personal experience, so next week I'll ask my readers for any insight they can offer. In the meantime, you should be able to search my blog for the tags "peyronies" and "bent cock" for more info.

Anyone have experience dealing with Peyronies?

Sorry I have been MIA, work has me real busy at the moment. This was a very interesting read. I have not experienced this, so no advice to offer. I assume this is something different from a natural curve that some guys have? Hope you have been well.

My husband developed it about 10 years ago. He was 'bent' about 90 degrees when erect, if you can imagine that. At first it was no problem at all but after a couple of years, it started causing him pain. He saw a urologist and they worked out a treatment program that involved a course of injections into the scar tissue to dissolve the scar-plaque. After about 6 months of that treatment (1 x monthly) he had almost no bend and no pain.

There are many other treatment methods for peyronie's. Here's hoping your readers who need it, find one that suits them.

He needs to see a doctor ASAP.
That’s it. That’s the advice.

I have never heard of it just happening. I was only ever with one guy who had a curved cock, but he had it since birth. I can't lie, when he fucked me, it actually felt great.

my experience was damage from just beating on it too furiously. Doctor said 'yes, I can feel where it bends' I looked up natural treatment and castor oil was supposed to be effective over time.. told my doctor and he said "hooray!..another use for castor oil!' so I massaged it in at night for a month or so and wore my undies to sleep in so I didn't get oil all over the sheets, and indeed, the bend started to relax and soften. This was five years ago.. or so.. and haven't had recurring problems (except diabetic old age.. I'm 75)

When I was 5-6, I started to applying a steroid cream on my penis because of phimosis.

Those shots can sometimes go very, very wrong. Glad they worked for your friend.

No apologies necessary. Hope things calm down for you soon.

It sounds as if that treatment has improved since first being used. Many early injection treatments caused more damage than they cured.

If the bend isn't severe, he's got a little bit of time. But, the sooner, the better.

Curved is different than bent. The curve is natural, not caused by scar tissue.

Most excellent. That's even better than steroid cream.

That's the standard treatment for phimosis and paraphimosis. And the earlier it is caught and treated, the easier it is.
