Really Fast

Morning

"Love the morning photo you post every day and love my morning boner but mine doesn't stick around why it goes soft really fast?"

That's actually fairly normal. Blame it on the end of REM sleep. Those nocturnal blood-oxygen erections happen when we're fully relaxed and our minds are unfocused. The alarm clock wakes us, we move around, the nervous system shifts into waking mode, and our brains begin to focus on the day ahead.

Of course, age plays a part, too. The older we get, the lower the testosterone production --- which is replenished while we sleep.

As long as you can get (and keep) a firm on-demand erection during any sexual activity, there's nothing to worry about.

You want your morning wood to stick around a while? Give it some attention as you wake.
