"We just got married. We're in an apartment living together for the the first time. Suddenly she's insisting I wear shorts or something to bed to sleep in. Not a peep during the honeymoon and she claims its because the new sheets. I've slept in the nude since I was like twelve. How do I convince her to leave it be?"
Over sheets?
There's always an adjustment when the actual day-to-day living together begins. I'm surprised it's not something you ever mentioned during the dating phase.
First, ask her to pay attention to that commercial on TV - you know, the one that starts with a bunch of veggies standing in for boners. Yeah, that one. Then have her look it up on her computer or tablet or phone. Peyronies Disease, or PD, is nothing to laugh off. And it's a real risk for men for many different reasons. Sex or masturbation which gets too rambunctious seems to top the list for most urologists.
It's when the bend sneaks up on us and we're left wondering, "How the fuck did this happen?" That's when the injury has most likely occurred by one of those numerous nocturnal erections getting tangled up and trapped in sleepwear.
Having a severe bend can make sex painful for both participants. If severe enough, it can make penetrative sex impossible.
This is one time you will have to put your foot down and refuse. A little bit of leaking precum isn't going to ruin the sheets. You should not have to put your cock at risk to save a hunk of cotton.
Readers?
Can anybody help this guy out with a washing detergent that might remove those errant stains?

Your reader should tell him that it's part of the package and it's take it or leave it. It's strange that she doesn't take offense at his nakedness when they have sex and that it shocks her when he's all alone. The "new sheets" ceased to be new after the first use, and it cannot be used as a pretext.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Have a wondrous weekend.
This reminds me of that episode of Sex and the City, when Charlotte's husband is walking around nude, sitting and laying down without any clothes on. 😜
It is not unusual for one, man or woman, to drool a bit while sleeping. Shall they wear a mask even in bed just so the pillowcase doesn't get stained? That'd be absurd, wouldn't it?
And just for the sake of Maths, the average adult perspires about 0,5L of sweat per night of sleep. So talk about a few drops...
:-)
USE ONLY COLD WATER. First, use a clean cloth and cold water to blot away all you can. Then without delay, launder with a detergent using the COLD water setting. Do NOT use bleach. Carefully check to see the stain has come out BEFORE you put the sheets into the dryer....or the stains may "cook" in permanently in your hot dryer.
I was also wondering: doesn't the wife drip too...after (or during) sex or even after being just highly aroused??? Does this mean no sex in the bed to save the sheets. Did she marry the guy or the sheets?
He may have to do spot cleaning. There's tons of products he can put on the stain and then wash the sheets. She'll see it's not a big deal.
XOXO
Wait a minute. Is she worried about the sheets when they have sex? Hmmm...
Okay, then offer to launder the sheets (if you don't already), or change the bedding, or buy some extra sets. There – problem solved. If that doesn't work, then sheets aren't the issue.
That woman is such a bad ass....
Sperm or precum stains are not such hard to remove from the sheets and nothing a good prewash squirts of Oxyclean stuff wouldn't get them removed.
The hardest stains to clean are the blood ones and that he could tell her as she might sometimes stain her precious sheets.
And sperm or precum isn't bad stains and to me, when I see some on my sheets coming from a partener, it will enjoy me because we did have lot of fun and pleasure too.
Gee, detergent recommendations: I got none. But like you said: not worth the cotton.
This one is bizarre, because the wife's demand is trying to solve an imaginary problem. There is nothing that leaks out of a male body during sleep that stains the sheets. During sex, cum might stain the sheets, but is she going to demand that he wear shorts during sex? And if cum or anything else should cause a stain, it is easily removable by washing with any detergent whatsoever.
Blood can cause hard-to-remove stains, but I have news for the wife: females menstruate, but males don't. Again, her request is so bizarre, I have trouble understanding what her problem is.
Is she the type of person who will cover all the furniture with plastic so it doesn't get dirty?
Yes, living together involves some adjustments, but he needs to put his foot down. We buy things to make us comfortable and happy. We do not change our behavior to make the things happy.
Tell her you'll buy new sheets.
Every good laundry detergent will remove those stains. Or you can use a spray spot remover.
The worst kinds of stains to get out of sheets are the massage oils and blood. Tip: baby powder or cornstarch works great on oily stains on sheets and clothes. Just sprinkle on and leave overnight and it will absorb the oil. COLD water and detergent on blood. hugs and bisous.
see a doctor! so simple!
We use whatever fragrance-free detergent is on the supermarket shelf. Never fails to get our sheets or cum-rags clean. We sleep naked too. I've been sleeping that way for 70 years and the mild curvature of my cock hasn't altered, m, although I no longer wake up with raging hardons as often as in my college days.
I doubt it's about the sheets. It's more likely an issue of control. So many partners seem bent (so to speak) on changing their partners' behavior after marriage. I would also put my foot down and continue to sleep in the nude. If they can't resolve it, she can find another bed.
@ Hot Guys - I remember the episode. Hilarious!
@ Jean - That's probably the best advice...along with him offering to do the laundry. 😁 Hugs and bisous!
Out of spite I would get a jar of Nutella and smear it from mid way down on her new sheets.
If she is worried that he might stain the sheets does she not realize that girls also stain sheets too? Blame him for her leakage? Has she been checking your underwear and seen what has been left behind?
If the sheets get a bit messy wash them. Dont keep laying in it.
Umm. Let's get back to the main point. She withheld information before the marriage. Tell her, Hell NO. This is how it starts. First, you're agreeing to wear underwear to bed and the next thing you know you have three kids you never wanted and are a registered Repulsivecan. Get an annulment now and save yourself a lot of grief. Seriously!
@ T - LOL.
@ Upton - I agree with you if they had the sleeping nude discussion before the wedding. The danger of the unwanted kids is very real, though. I sure hope they had THAT talk. Kisses.
She has a control problem. The best detergent is a few sessions with a psy where they can detect together how to free her from it. Otherwise, divorce will eradicate the strains.
