Just 4 Fun

The road trip has been postponed - probably until October. Well, what's a couple more months? It'll be nice no matter when it (finally) happens.

Fellow Blogger, Upton at Wonderland Burlesque, suggested I make Just for Fun a regular feature. What better day than Monday as most face another long work week?

Many thanks to the B-Boys, Bruce and Bryn, for sending them along.

The tomato is a vegetable, not a fruit. A vegetable is a vegetable plant of which one part (if not all) is edible.

In botany, the tomato is a fruit. Because a fruit is the organ that contains the seeds of the plant. Tomato seeds are the seeds inside. Like tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers, green beans, zucchini and pumpkins are fruits! On the other hand, for botanists, the strawberry is not a fruit. The fruits of the strawberry are the small hard grains distributed on the surface of the strawberry. Usually, fruits are eaten raw at the end of the meal.
In the kitchen and at the table, the tomato is more of a vegetable. In this category, we group together different parts of the plant that are eaten cooked, seasoned, as a starter or as a main course. There are root vegetables, carrots, leafy greens, spinach, buds, asparagus, flower greens, artichokes, and fruit greens, tomatoes, and also zucchini, beans, peppers!

The Spaniards are the only ones in Europe to make tomato jam, which was considered fiscally and legally as a vegetable and therefore taxed more. At the end of long negotiations, the Spaniards obtained a reclassification in the fruit category which is financially more advantageous for them.

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

Postscript: It is noted, I will therefore wait until October to sleep.

Love the Walmart Tomato.

I agree with the policy re: dogs and children. I think kids at this point, given global warming and the state of the world, are totally unnecessary.

LOVE LOVE LOVE F*ck Me Ups. I would just die if I saw that. I love it when things like that happen.

The elevator sign. Only in Alabama... and Mississippi. Wait. Do they even have colleges in Mississippi?

Thanks for the shout out, dear. Love the new feature. Kizzes.

I interpreted "Do not click buttons with genitalia" to mean buttons with genitalia symbols on them and I spent a while trying to find said buttons without success. I couldn't understand what the poster meant and I was left perplexed. It took comments from this blog to realise that there was a possible different interpretation and then suddenly it made sense, kind of.

I suppose that's like the optical illusion of a duck head picture appearing like a rabbit head: many things have multiple interpretations depending on your perspective. However it highlights that clear communication requires both parties be on the same wavelength and it not be left up to chance interpretation, else you just have a joke.

@ Mistress - They'll pick you up on the way to the coast.

@ MFP - I totally dislike tomato - especially if raw. But in other forms, like ketchup or marinara for pasta, they're delish. Hugs and bisous.

@ Jean - I would love to see the clips or photos that instigated the notice. LOL. Hugs and bisous.

@ whkattk:
Is placing the last photo at the BOTTOM of your post a private joke?

@ MFP - There's a website known as People of Walmart where photos of customers are posted. You will find some of the trashiest-dressed people on the planet shopping at those stores. So, maybe unconsciously, I put it at the bottom. Bottoms for the bottom, right? LOL. Hugs and bisous.
