Good morning.
We watched. The whole thing. Jen Psaki summed it up for me: "The organic magical Walz was missing." He was nervous being in front of an international audience for the first time. And he was up against an experienced debater. He finally found his mojo after the first break and leaned into it with a bit of fact-checking on the fly, but missed numerous opportunities. He was at his best with the final question about democracy. Not that it would change my vote. I know the assignment.
And speaking of fact checking, over at A Day With Mistress Borghese, Maddie has a very good post about Hurricane Helene that you should check out. Particularly if you live in any of the affected areas.
Our triple-digit temps continue. What climate change?

These are good.
We have used a fan to dry some dishes. It works.
My favorite image is the one where we see a young woman who has disarmed a man and who says to him "This one too" while pointing to his erect penis.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Have a great Wednesday.
I share your Monday and Wednesday memes(well most of them LOL) with my family each morning, Thanks Pat. I had not seen either candidate speak publicly after cutting cable and all broadcast news 2 years ago, watched it at a friend's house. I admit that Vance is a slick critter and speaks to his base. What I didn't know was all the bad laws and decisions she oversaw. My goodness, that woman sure wields a lot of power! It's as though Joe Biden wasn't the President. Where he shot himself in the foot were his inability to say that #45 lost the election and say he would do the same at Pence if this election is contested. Of course that won't move the needle for his supporters, but it was telling. As for Mr. Walz, the pauses, the blank stares, his missed opportunities were troubling but he managed to assure his base that he can handle the pressure when needed. His ending statement was what the nation needed to hear, this is THE election that will decide if we put put country over a political ideology that will destroy it. I'd call the debate a draw. And yes Pat, I also know the assignment.
Lmao!!!!!!! That last one is too funny!!!!! Throw in a hand job and im there!!!!!! And thanks for the scout dear!
I thought Walz could have been better, especially with the avalanche of fuckery that CouchFucker unleashed against him. I think that technique has a name (and Vance is a slick MoFo with training in debating).
I don't think the VP debate is gonna change too many minds (even though people like Walz EVEN MORE now and JD is less disliked). But hey.
XOXO
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎂🥳. Hugs and bisous.
I can’t believe that you guys are still sucking the blue pill and want four more years of the gaslighting and corruption and high inflation. It will come back to bite you. Just saying.
What's up with the previous couple of post summaries not available?
I don't have to login to see the summaries normally and enjoy the posts, but when the summary is not available, it requires a login that I don't have.
Brilliant selection! Rad
I thought Walz came across as not ready for primetime, as in... human. He bungled the China thing, but made up for it with some great points about the orange ogre and history. JD came across as a political machine who will say anything to get elected. So smooth? TOO smooth. His casual demonization of immigrants was frightening to watch.
Thanks!
LOL. I have no doubt it works.
She better be careful when he disarms that one. LOL. Hugs and bisous.
I'm glad the memes see a long life!
Isn't it amazing how much power they claim she has had? Yeah, like Biden was just a mannequin. I loved Walz's reason that Vance was Trump's running mate!
I hope many, many readers take that link jump. It's very important to know who voted against helping them in the wake of natural diaster.
I agree. I can't think of the word used to describe what Vance does - but he's very good at it. But, boy, did he screw up there at the end.
'Course, now we have not one, not two, but three October surprises!
XOXO
Same to you!!! The years slip by faster and faster. Hugs and bisous!
Well, we simply have a different ideology on the direction of the country. But, if you're paying attention: Inflation is down below 3% again, manufacturing is roaring back because of automobile plants and computer chips, and job growth is better than ever because of infrastructure. All things the Dems had to do on their own because the Republicans voted against every one of those bills.
I'm not sure. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say Blogger is misbehaving. Sorry! Wish i could fix it for you....
Thanks!
Exactly. All that.
