Harm or Injury

Morning

Just when I thought things were looking up....

As if a letter on a document causes harm or injury to a segment of society.

SCOTUS Rules In Favor of Trump's Anti-trans Passport Policy

"Given the order, any passports being issued, renewed, or corrected moving forward will reflect sex assigned at birth for the applicant.

“Displaying passport holders’ sex at birth no more offends equal protection principles than displaying their country of birth — in both cases, the Government is merely attesting to a historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment,” the concurring justices wrote in the order.

Justice Katanji Brown Jackson wrote the dissenting opinion, joined by Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor. In it, she remarked that the Trump administration had routinely begun to seek relief from SCOTUS where they often find an “obliging audience.”

"This Court has once again paved the way for the immediate infliction of injury without adequate (or, really, any) justification," she wrote. “The documented real-world harms to these plaintiffs obviously outweigh the government’s unexplained (and inexplicable) interest in immediate implementation of the passport policy.” "

Maybe we should get rid of the gender designation altogether. As long as the name and photo match,

does it really matter?

Their hatreds, jealousies and insecurities of sexuality and sex itself in full display for all to see.
The regime and gang of 6 are anti-sex. Though it is proven time and again what perverts they are !

Doesn't matter to anyone but them.

Yeah, it does matter in the context of legal identification. Sex is a physically distinguishing characteristic which a person cannot change. Look, besides sex, people are sensitive about their weight, ethnicity, handicaps, and lots of other things. There's no good reason to force the government to stamp out an ID card with their individual fantasy projection. How a person identifies and presents themselves is only important in social interactions, and even then it should only be a courtesy and not an actionable law. *I* am comfortable with the idea of a woman who is male, and a man who is female. Transgender/nonbinary/etc. people would be doing themselves well to embrace themselves as they are.

Like seriously, how about getting your government open again, I would think there are many more Americans that would want that instead of wasting tax payers dollars on crap like this. Who the fuck cares.
