I have watched the Oscars every year since I was a kid. This year for the first time in my life, I can't be bothered to do so. I've barely seen any of the nominated movies because of the fragmentation of our modern movie viewing habits. Thanks, streaming services.

Given my love of pomp and circumstance...and fashion....many I know are shocked I don't watch the Oscars. I Havnt seen it in 8 years now.

a nice prelude to the Midweek Mirth. I think i'll skip directly to Wednesday.
They sure aren't making it easy. We used to see them all on the 2 Saturdays before the awards at AMC. They've stopped doing that, more's the pity. Now we have to stream them. Ugh.

It's work, but the end result is always fun!
Oh, it's a competition for us --- fill out a ballot beforehand, then see who got the most correct. It's more about the gathering of friends than the actual awards.
