Let me say this again. Maybe louder for the folks in the back: Your boner is your barometer of health.
There's mounting evidence that long-term use of boner meds is detrimental to boners.
In that men and their physicians are ignoring underlying health issues that cause the ED in the first place. The main cause of ED --- when it's not a mental issue --- is "blood flow" to the penis. The doc prescribes boner pills. But does he try to get to why there is a lack of blood flow?
Evidently, some men seem to need a higher and higher dosage over time. When their doctor deems it "unsafe" to increase again, they may suggest a switch to injections.
The boners are back, baby! How wonderful, right?
Not so fast. It appears that repeated injections are causing Peyronies Disease. Yes, that's a very tiny hole being made, but when it heals, it leaves a scar. All those teeny little scars add up and begin to cause a bend in the boner.
According to National Institutes of Health it's a real thing. New York Urology, says 15-20% of men develop Peyronies due to repeated, long-term use of injectable boner meds.
Guys, before you start any ED medication, make sure the underlying cause is being addressed.

I cannot imagine injecting something in my dick.
That being said, I think the Blue Angel comes handy in emergencies. Not as an everyday remedy, but in cases when it's needed.
I do not mind a man taking one, for sure. I'm gonna benefit from that boner 100%. But depending on it? There's a bigger problem there...
XOXO
Sobering news.
Such a great PSA, thanks for that and all they pics that went along with it.
Interesting that my boner has a natural curve in it and it's never bothered me or any of its recipients.
So good question then - my Men's Health MD has me on Cialis now for almost 4 years. First it was for Low-T and diagnosed "ED". IMHO... general malaise, my feeling that I just want to cocoon instead of live over the fuck state of the planet had a hell of a lot more to do with it. But the ships are slowly righting; adults are starting to get a handle on the fuck state of the planet, I am... not here (online), as a matter of fact, considerably less, and I'm finding that, HEY! Look who's back to greet me as sure as the sun is rising! Hell, even a midday perusal of the porn sites gets nice reaction!
So... asked my Men's Health doctor... "Can I stop the Cialis?" "Oh! No! Studies show that Cialis is good for the [heart / brain / lungs / name an organ], I am not going to take you off it!"
So here I am, with a $50mo. prescription for Tadadafil (generic Cialis)... for... fucking... ever.
My PCP also concurs that new studies are showing the greater benefits to the pill. I just hate being on something "because".
Thoughts?
I don't know why one thinks they can do over and over again with penis meds or injections and such will pay off. Over time you just know it's going to make matters worst down the road. Just like when people get too much plastic surgery. It always catches up at some point and you end up looking worse than you did in the beginning.
The sex party I go to many tops used to inject but I have had a few tell me they don't do that anymore...they got a penal implant instead.
I am thankful at 59 I have avoided any type of "medical" help to stay wonderfully hard. When I was 40 years old, I had 4 surgeries in one year because of complications and worried I would no longer be able to maintain a hard-on. In the last few years, outside of a cockring, I have kept my hard-ons. In my case it was more psychological than medical. I can keep a hard-on now, sadly, there is no one to be covered in or to take my seed. Any takers? LOL
Good advice. It all comes back to good physical health and nutrition. Keeping your body in shape and feeding it well will not save you, but it certainly can add dozens of years to your sexual health. Hugs and bisous
Thanks for the info. And the inspirational way of presenting it.
If needed, no problem. It's the porn stars who will be sorry years from now.
XOXO
Indeed.
It's what I'm here for,
Natural curves are quite normal.
Oh, we MUST address that one tomorrow.
Truth, Mads. Eventually, that shit catches up to you. Today's porn stars are going to pay a price for the daily injection erections.
Well, getting an implant involves a major surgery.
Wonderful that you got your boners back. I can't imagine there's no one to share them with.
Very, very true.
Hugs and bisous.
You're welcome.
