Flat-Out Asked?

Morning

"have you ever has someone flatout ask if you jack off?"

LOL. Of course. And I've readily admitted it.

Well, not the first time. That one was asked by a military psychologist. I was young (19), with a very high security clearance, and wasn't sure what would happen if I said "yes." Long story made short: I'd had quite the anxiety attack and was forced to see this guy before I could return to my squadron.

The dude said, "You're single, you say you don't pick up girls in the bars downtown. If you tell me you don't jack off, I can't report you as stable and release you back to work."

I finally did say yes.

Then he wanted to know how many times a week! Um...every day?

'Course, I did not mention the weekly barracks circle jerks.

LOL. It's funny now, but then? Not so much.

Does Not Prevent Erections

Morning

Last week, Maddie left a comment about Salt Peter as a joke. I thought, why not a post about that myth --- it's one they used to tell new recruits in the military, "There's saltpeter in the food, to keep your pecker down."

Of course, it's not true. Saltpeter was not an abundant ingredient in the chow hall food. But, of course, even if there was, it does not prevent erections. Nor does it douse the libido.

Food Grade Sodium Nitrate is used for curing or smoking meats - like bacon, sausage, and corned beef (yum!).

Here's a spiffy YouTube video that pretty much explains how the myth started and spread.

Enjoy your day!

When Was...

Morning

"whens the first time you saw a dick that wasn't yours or a family members or saw one hard that wasn't yours or a family members?"

Oh, gosh. Probably the first gym PE when we were forced to put on jock straps and take showers afterward. First boner? A buddy's when we started jerking off together.

But really, I would consider military basic training the real eye-opener. That's when I learned boners weren't all about sex. Waking up in the barracks with 39 guys rushing to the latrine wagging their morning wood to the open urinals and gang showers.

Then there were the weekend circle jerks.

Anyone else care to share?

Boots

Good morning.

What a stunning Supermoon. It was a bit obscured by clouds in our neck of the woods, but it was so bright, it backlit them so beautifully that we sat out there for a good 30 minutes just staring.

No, we weren't in Paris. The cameras on our phones take lousy pictures.

I can't remember if it was Steve at All Natural and More or Sixpence at Lo! Imprescindible who recommended the series, Boots, but I watched the first two episodes last night. Truly enjoyable. The way the protagonist's alter ego supports him is really quite good and adds the needed touch of humor.

It's based on Greg Cope White's memoir The Pink Marine

If you get Netflix, give this a watch.

The Marines' boot camp is quite a bit different than the Air Force, though from watching this I can say there is quite a bit of crossover.
