The Typical Two

Balls. Balls. Balls.

A couple weeks ago, responding to the post on Testicular Implants, a reader asked about Polyorchidism. According to Healthline, Polyorchidism is the existence of more than two testicles. It's a very rare congenital condition, with approximately 200 cases reported in medical literature.

Porn star Chris Tyler has three.

"Polyorchidism or supernumerary testis means more than two testes. It is very rare and to the best of our knowledge there have been only about 200 cases reported."

There are two types. Type A is reproductively functional, meaning it can supply sperm to the ejaculatory ductwork.

Type B is not. How and why it occurs is a bit of a mystery but Healthline provides a possible answer.

"One theory is that polyorchidism follows an abnormal division of the genital ridge early in the development of a male fetus. The genital ridge or gonadal ridge is the precursor to the testicles, and forms within the first two months. For reasons that remain unknown, the genital ridge may divide in such a way that a duplicate testis forms in the scrotum or up in the inguinal area."

Yet, it doesn't stop at three. In 2016, a case of four testicles was reported by the National Library of Medicine. And, in 2020, as reported by BMC Urology five testicles were found in a 13-month old. What's it like to have more than two balls? According to GardenofGandalf, a Redditor, who has a third nut, it doesn't pose a problem. He says, "They sometimes can get tangled up." ... "But mostly, it just looks like I have a big package."

Somehow, I still think most guys would be perfectly happy having the typical two functioning balls.

Balls May Be Funny

Yep. It is that time of the month, guys!
BUDDY BALL CHECK
Get busy with that TSE!

But, here's a little sidetrack article from Healthline for everyone: "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Getting Kicked in the Balls."
If you read to the end, there's another article on a subject I've posted about: "Testicular Torsion."  This is particularly important subject on balls, because your nuts can twist under all kinds of situations. A visit to the ER is called for; if not swiftly corrected, the testicle could strangle and die.

Balls may be funny, but not when they're hurting.
Don't mess around when it comes to a pain in the nuts.

What Is That Line?

This question comes from Faithful Reader Stan:

"I have always wondered and have asked many, with no real answer. I have seen in numerous photos and in many men. The line that seems to always come between the left and right testicle. I have it, I’m certain you must have it. The question is….what is it, why is it there ? Something to do with birth?"

Not birth, it has to do with developmental gestation. At the moment of conception we are all female. (This is the reason men have nipples.) It remains so until the Y chromosome triggers a wave of testosterone within the fetus. Through that bath of male hormone, the clitoris turns into a penis, the ovaries become testicles, Fallopian Tubes develop into Spermatic Cords (Vas Deferens and Seminal Vesicles,) and the the labia majora (the outer lips of the vaginal area) close up to form the scrotum - and, thus, the line, or "seam" that you notice called the Middle Septum.

The odd thing is that there is no female counterpart to the Prostate. That is strictly a male component and, to my knowledge, there still is no idea as to why. Maybe it was given as a replacement for that missing rib. LOL.

Now, take a look inside and you'll find that each testicle is shrouded within the Tunica Vaginalis, which is enshrined by the External Spermatic Fascia. Those are to help keep the testicles separated from one another.

It is the deformity of the Tunica Vaginalis which enables easy testicular torsion (twisted testicle) a very painful strangulation of the testes) in some men.
Nature is a wonderful thing, and the reason we shouldn't be ashamed of what we've been given.
8
We should be proud of it - because don't have anything which nature has not provided.

 It functions as nature intended.

Thanks for the question, Stan!

Missing Balls

Unlike breast implants that can be used to augment what nature provided, testicular implants are used to replace what has gone missing. Guys can lose one or both balls to injuries. Testicular torsion, sports, household accidents, and many are military guys who've been hit by shrapnel.

If I have a good, solid boner when I wake in the morning that's the first thing which gets my attention. Next is the itchy ballsac. So, typically, I'll be scratching on the way to take the morning piss. (Am I the only guy who experiences this?)

Then, of course, the balls are prevalent in my thoughts again as I shower and shave, because I shave my cock and sac. So, if one or both of my nuts was missing, I'd be reminded first thing each day.

I'm especially cognizant of them during any sexual activity - we guys absolutely love to have our balls played with. It would bother me to have a loose, saggy sac of skin where my balls should be.
Ladies, what would you encourage your husband or significant other to do?
Guys, what would be your decision?
