It's best to catch things early.
A good self-inspection in conjunction with your ball check could go a long way in saving you future grief and pain. Here's a perfect example of something that should not be ignored: If you discover a small spot, perhaps it looks like a pimple or a dry skin...if it doesn't clear up within a week, don't take any chances.
