At What Cost

What a hunk, right?

Who wouldn't want to look like that?

I mean, look at those bodies. The perfectly slim waist, defined pecs, six-pack abs so tight you could bounce a quarter off them.

I'm sure you've seen (or heard) the commercials for testosterone supplements like Total T promising you it will help you be  younger, longer, harder, and stronger.

You, too, can transform yourself like these two guys.

Or be a "Muscule Hunk" model.

But at what cost?

fellow Blogger Sixpence's post today that everyone should go watch the video and read.

Too many guys fall for this crap. And, if you don't need it - if there's no real medical issue - it's not good for you.
There's nothing wrong with having the body of an Average Joe.

You can have abs of steel and rock solid boners

without damaging your body.

Aww thnx, Big!
And I WAS surprised. I know some people who are on T for medical reasons, but for LOOKS?

XOXO

Just my two cents about these two guys: I'd fall for their first look and shape without a glimpse of hesitation, instead of what they made of themselves after hours of gym-club and tons of synthetic proteins.
Oh how much damage has the now old-fashioned porn culture has done.

The advertisers for "T-for-Two" have noticed that Baby Boomers have discovered that they're well-over 50 years of age... and the ads are slanted to people who don't want to admit that we tend to slow down (even though "Once you're over-the-hill you can accelerate on the downhill").
So, T (You'll feel great-- and so will she!) is pushed, even though a good night's sleep will do wonders for your libido.
And the Botox ads are now showing kids in their 30s who noticed that they have laugh-lines and rripples on their forehead. The 'after' interviews show people without a wrinkle-- and who probably can't raise their eyebrows anymore.
This time of year my mailbox overflows with a mixture of the latest and greatest Medicare plans, and politicians explaining in great detail either how they will solve the world's problems, or how their opponent will destroy everything I've worked for.
I think we all need to realize that there's a lot that a daily series of Kegel exercises can do for you-- just as fast as "Extra T!" (Earl Grey, Hot)

My doctor told me NOT to use those testosterone boosters. He said they don't necessarily help your cock get/stay hard, and they can cause behavioural problems like hostility and anger issues.

An attractive program that I see no problem with.
Good job!

And as always, some very handsome pictures.

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Have a great day.

My Doctor wanted me to get the shot testosterone shot to help keep me from getting osteoporosis. Get the shot every two weeks. Don't want to break a hip.

@ Laurent - I agree that it is the bulk(ed)-up porn industry that has shaped this culture. Damn pity, isn't it?

@ Paul Mmn - The ridiculousness of the cosmetic industry has been spreading to men for a couple decades now. It's beyond me how a man can be 32 (the age of one of those guys in a commercial) and start Botox. For what? There's no difference except, as you said, they can't even raise their brows. But the problem is "youth-oriented" everything culture.

@ BigDude - That is where the term "roid rage" came from. Steroids such the ones these companies are pushing cause behavioral dysfunction.

An “average Joe” or “dad body” is much more interesting to look at. Don’t get me wrong, I like to see a hunk, but not overly muscular or anything, but the most pleasing to the eye are those regular bodies with lumps and bumps, sometimes slim sometimes heavy, sometimes with a belly. Sometimes hairy, sometimes smooth, young men, old or middle aged. All more beautiful because they’re natural looking.

I don't trust any of that stuff. Do we really know what is in it???? Call me old fashioned, but I'll exercise for my results.

Average dudes and Dad bods get me going!!! The bulked up guys do nothing for me. If it makes them happy and they are doing it the right way, then so be it. I care nothing about all of that. I will go for the average Joe any and every day!!

@ Hooter - A perfectly legit medical reason to be getting T replacement.
