Here's an interesting question that has never been addressed here.

"I offer massages to men in my area. They are legit therapeutic massages but since I'm not licensed, I can go further if we agree.

Today I saw something I hadn't seen before. While massaging a new client's chest, I saw what appeared to be a small pimple or lesion. On closer look, I realized it was a tiny third nipple, a little south and east of his regular right nipple. I was intrigued but didn't mention it to avoid embarrassing my new friend.

I've heard of this, but never seen it before. I know every body is unique, and I'm not bothered by it in any way. As a long time reader, I feel I can ask anything here about men's bodies. How rare or how common is a third nipple?"

Called Supernumerary Nipples, according to the Cleveland Clinic, this is more common than anyone might suspect. Occurring in up to 5% of the population, oddly enough, they're more common in males by a margin of almost 2:1.

As you noticed, they usually appear as a small mole or freckle due to a lack of areola.

They're typically harmless small bumps --- though some may have a small amount of breast tissue. They develop along the embryonic milk line, a temporary band of tissue that develops during fetal development. You can read more about them here: Third Nipple. 

They're easily removed by a minor, (usually) non-invasive surgery.

As for being able to "go further" while giving a massage: Know your clients well before doing so.

I commend you for being willing to take that step in stress reduction. Even though you are not a licensed masseur, if you charge for a massage, it would still be considered prostitution.
