Hydraulics Required

Morning.

Last week, a Faithful Reader sent this question:

"Given the relative high viscosity of semen, what are the hydraulics required to shoot it three to four feet out the end of the cock?  This amazes me, especially given the length from the prostate gland to the end of the boner and the pressure drop while travelling through the pee tube.

Thanks for your help and your blog!"

So, I did some digging. This is a good question.... Since the most satisfactory ejaculations are the ones with the most volume of cum and the most force, this is something a lot of men are interested in knowing. I've posted the equation v(V), "Volume times Velocity."

According to the Cleveland Clinic: What controls the force of the velocity are the ischiocavernosis and bulbocavernosus muscles surrounding the base of the cock, and the pelvic floor muscles. So those Kegel exercises I've suggested in various posts strengthen those. The level of arousal also plays a part by increasing the amount of cum, which is why a lot of men practice edging. The continued stimulation builds sexual tension, and the volume of cum increases as ejaculation is delayed.

Of course, age is a factor. The younger we are, the more muscle tone we have. Aging robs us of that with fading Testosterone levels.

Last is having a healthy nerve system - spinal cord or pelvic floor injuries may not completely kill the ability to get an erection, but they can reduce the signal pathway to the brain.

The technical info:

The force of ejaculation is primarily determined by the rhythmic, muscular contractions of the bulbocavernosus muscle (at the base of the penis) and the pelvic floor muscles, which squeeze fluid through the urethra.
The exact velocity and volume of the ejaculate are influenced by several core factors:
  • Muscle Strength: Stronger pelvic floor muscles result in more forceful expulsions.
  • Level of Arousal: Higher levels of sexual excitement trigger stronger nerve signals and more intense muscular contractions.
  • Semen Volume: The actual amount of fluid (which dictates the distance of the force) ranges between 1.25 to 5.00 mL. This is affected by your body's hydration, the time since your last ejaculation, and natural hormone levels.
  • Age: Younger males generally have more forceful ejaculations, as muscle tone and testosterone levels typically decrease with age.
  • Nervous System Health: Intact nerve pathways from the spinal cord to the reproductive system are required to trigger the expulsion phase.

The documented Distance Record:

The maximum documented distance for human ejaculation in credible scientific literature is 8 feet (2.4 meters). This rare distance was noted during sexological studies conducted by researchers Alfred Kinsey as well as Masters and Johnson.
An urban legend widely claims a "world record" of 18 feet 9 inches (5.71 meters) by a man named Horst Schultz. However, investigative reporting confirmed this is a myth; the record does not exist in the Guinness World Records database, and urologists state such a distance is biologically impossible due to the natural limitations of the human reflex.
  • The Average Range: For most individuals, semen travels 7 to 12 inches (30–60 cm), though it is entirely normal for it to simply seep out with very little forward propulsion.
  • The "Rare" High Range: A small percentage of individuals with highly conditioned pelvic floor muscles and high semen volumes can reach 3 to 6 feet.
  • The Maximum Limit: The absolute upper limit of human muscle contraction force tops out at the aforementioned 8 feet.

Not Feeling the Explosion

Good morning.

"My wife and I fuck at least 2 times a week but recently I have been cumming and not really feeling the explosion and sometimes I’m not even sure I’ve cum. Strange but later I actually know I’ve cum. Any ideas why?"

Well, that sucks. Ejaculation is supposed to feel pleasurable. The explosive nature of it adds to our sense of sexual release.

Weak ejaculation symptoms include:

Reduced ejaculation volume. You may notice that you don't ejaculate as much as you used to.

  • Reduced force of ejaculation. In addition to ejaculating less semen, you may feel like your semen isn't expelled with as much force as usual.
  • Difficulty ejaculating.

According to the Cleveland Clinic:

It's fairly common and rarely cause for concern, but if consistent should be evaluated by a physician.

Anorgasmia, or a weak ejaculation --- sometimes called inhibited ejaculation --- is a common issue that can be caused by a number of different things: age, lifestyle, medications, or underlying medical problems; recent surgeries near or around the genitals, complications from cancer treatment like radiation.

Medications for Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH), an enlarged (noncancerous) prostate can also be a cause of a weakened sense of explosive ejaculation.

What can you do about it? First, if this is persistent, go for a complete physical. Make sure there are no underlying conditions.

In the meantime, do you can do Kegels to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles that help you ejaculate. Lower volume means that less fluid is being forced out. If the first spurt is weak, the remainder seem to diminish sooner.

Also remember that sexual tension can be wound up like a spring. the more build-up to the orgasm the better it feels to cum.

So, you might also try spending more time on foreplay.

Firm Erections

Good morning.

I've talked about the need for men to do Kegel exercises for many years, and described them in very basic terms. Though they will help men recover from prostate surgery and / or assist in issues with bladder leakage, my focus was always on maintaining firm erections.

And let's be honest, that's the thing we're most interested in, isn't it? At least until we face urinary issues.

Today, fellow blogger Sixpence has posted a YouTube video by Dr. Erick Leckie, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, that shows you precisely how to do them, how to know you're doing them correctly, and the absolute benefits of continuing them as a part of a regular routine.

I urge you to visit Six's blog post
and watch that video.

All the way to the end.
Need enticement? Not only will they boost your boners.

Your boners will reward you with stronger ejaculations.

And we all know the stronger the ejaculation, the better it feels.

Is that reason enough to watch, learn, and do?
