Whatever Normal Is

With everything bundled, we had no internet,

no phone,

and no telly.

Can you imagine? Well, as Six pointed out, I sure have enough music in my vinyl and CD collection to listen to.

As Bat (who requested another excerpt of the smut novel) pointed out, I have plenty of books in my library to read.

As Jean pointed out, it's like having a snow day!

It very rarely snows here, so being outside still works.

I did manage to get a large credit to the account due to all the outages (there have been many over the past few months). However, we hope they've managed to get things repaired/updated/whatever so we can get back to normal.

Whatever "normal" is.
BTW, does anyone else join Bat in wanting more of the smut novel?

OMG! What is happening with all those outages?

Isn't your country the most technological advanced in the world?

OR the Biden will to do some upgrading in your internet stuffs is just too urgent to do?

I, in Montreal, Canada, rarely have such shortages and even in the worser winter days, electricity very rarely is going off.

I'm glad your internet is back up and running, and that you managed a credit from the bloodsuckers.

I like the first photo, kinda dreamy 😉

Also... normal doesn't exist IMO 🤷‍♂️

Duh. Smut is always welcome? So yes.
And listening to records is actually my 'unplugging'. The deathscrolling in the phone drives me nuts sometimes.

XOXO

@JiEL - The US may have been the most technologically advanced once upon a time. We deal with power outages a lot, too, in Summer when the temps are over 110F and everyone is cranking up the air conditioning. Pretty sad for a country who claims to be "the greatest and richest" in the world.

I often think I live in a banana republic because when it rains too hard (Hurricaine or storm) our power goes off, when it snows/sleets our power goes off, when it's too windy our power goes off. I am convinced 100 years from now people will look back and will not believe that we had so many power outages.
Or the Chinese will have blown up our whole power grid and we are back to the Stone Age again.

The lesson is to keep your books, one day they may be all we have left.
There is a lot to recommend "snow days." Hugs and bisous.

@ Jean - The outages seem to be getting more and more frequent. I'm happy I know how to live and occupy time without it. Hugs and bisous.

LoL! I should have been a wee more specific when typing my mind in my last comment: that was just an attempt - a poor one, ok - at cheering you up in order for you to sit at your desk, or whatever place you feel comfortable, and go on writing.
Sharing with us is an option - although it's an appreciated one.
From what you're telling, power outages are somewhat frequent in your area. You might want to come up with a list of things you can do that do not require any plugging, such as... Tadaa: writing a sequel to your novel :)

Or walking the dog - if you don't have one you're missing something.
Or gardening - indoors plants are as rewarding as any.
Or you can play the exquisite corpse game with your neighbors - mind the idea of whose among them will pass first, it makes the game even funnier :-)

Any other ideas, folks?

In the US, the philosophy is "We could do it for cheaper, and we shouldn't charge more for basic services, but then you wouldn't pay a premium, would you?"

It's like COVID and me being reminded of when I had chickenpox at age 7. Me in my room, naked, 104° fever (40°C) only leaving to get food and drink.

Bat Redneck makes me think of redneck Batman, and how half of DC Comics staff apparently wants the Robins to fuck. Marv Wolfman must be like "I more or less created three of them, and etc. etc. Not even Dick/Tim, which in retrospect could be interpreted as a crush. Good day, sirs and mesdames!"
