The sinus infection has cleared up but the eyes are bad. The specialist here is sending me to UCLA (again). Of course, the earliest I can get in is the end of next month. Until then, it's going to be a constant struggle against light sensitivity and to see clearly.

Pat, I'm glad that your sinus infection cleared up, but I'm so sorry about your eye problems. After not seeing anything from you for several days, I worried that you might be in the hospital. It's funny, we've never met, but I feel like you're a friend and a kindred spirit.

I and many others have missed you but understand health issues. Shall I put this in perspective (no pun intended) for you? At least your doctors are seeing and treating areas on your head. Tomorrow I see a doctor with whom I am not familiar (female no less) to treat some cyst-like blowout on the entrance to my inner chamber!!! Oh, the indignities we experience as we age! The funnies were all great but the "saving for college" sent me into convulsions. Take it easy, friend.
All good news, except for the trip back for eye follow-up. Sometimes I've waited so long for an appointment that by the time it comes around, I'm mended. And maybe with rest and care for the next few weeks, you will be on the mend too. Only bad things in the hospital these days.
