Amount of Proof

The amount of proof one needs to prove ones identity when something has been stolen is amazing. It makes you wonder why the same amount of proof wasn't required by the bank to open accounts. The police were very reluctant to take the report. She said I needed "proof" of the scam. I had documents from the bank with case numbers and she still didn't want to take the report. She wanted the account numbers. The bank report had the last 4 of all three. An hour later, she finally did her job. Oy.... Getting notary services was another huge chore. It took two trips to my bank. I still have to get everything scanned and uploaded to the LifeLock case portal.

Once LifeLock has it, they do the rest. And all I have to do is....wait.

And the pool calls to me.

Get up on my massage table and let me help you release some of the stress of all of this. Wow! At least it is falling into place. Hang in there!

What a nightmare. I lost my wallet in NYC 2 years ago and to this day I search for any evidence of fraud. I'm sorry you had to go through all of this. I hope the pics you post help soothe the aggravation a little.

Paperwork is always painful chores bordering on unbearable. But we can say that what ends in the pool ends rather well.

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Have a great day.

Besides all the great pictures, you really want to know when they're finally gonna get rid of all of those stupid wires we have going to all of our "electronics." Hugs and bisous

Sorry for your troubles. Now... this is because they got hold of your social security number, correct? Do you know the source of the leak. And shame on that cop for not wanting to do her job. Hope you're doing okay... keep breathing.

@ Gabriel --- Oh, how I wish we were in closer proximity. I'd be on that table in a flash.

@ Jean - You noticed those, did you? The tangles only seem to procreate! Hugs and bisous.

@ Upton - My SS# - yep. Still not clear how or when --- or why --- it was used. It's been speculated that it may have been an undocumented immigrant. It may be that someone just grabbed numbers out of thin air and the string happened to be mine. The lucky part for me, I guess, is that nothing was done to affect my credit scores.

@ Maddie - there is ***always*** room for you!

Who speculated that it may have been an 'undocumented immigrant?' That's a rather prejudiced statement! Who would have access to your number? Doctors? Credit card companies? When I got my phone (landline) service 30 years ago, they wanted it, too.

I'd suspect someone working for one of the places you 'voluntarily' revealed your number!
