Cock, Dick, Schlong

Whatever you use, it's a label. An astute reader brought a new sexual-label movement to my attention. Turns out I’d touched on the heart of it more than a few times, but I wasn’t aware some folks had placed a label on it. Not that I believe in labels – ‘cause I don’t.

Labels pigeon-hole us and that’s something I truly don’t like. But alas! in our world of communication words are important, we require ‘names’ for things so our minds can relate; rather like hearing someone happily say, “Oh! Now I can put a face to the name!”

Straight, Bi, Gay, “G0y” (as in G-zero-Y; as in not gay). Evidently, “g0y” (rhymes with soy) is meant to represent men who crave and enjoy male-male contact – and not necessarily always in a sexual context. While I do not appreciate some of the rhetoric used by the official website (I find some things to be deliberately mean-spirited and, sometimes, downright offensive), I can appreciate the basis of it.

There are many, many men who identify as Straight who enjoy spending time with their buddies and the realm of the relationship(s) may extend to watching porn and jacking off together, or lending one another a hand – or even, dare we admit? – a mouth, or perhaps engaging in a bit of frottage (lying together face to face and thrusting cocks against one another’s torso – a really great experience, actually). This is what forms the basis of the g0y movement – notice that any type of anal play is not a part of the repertoire, because the g0y’s believe that anal penetration is indicative of being gay.

Yes, they do admit that straight partners engage in anal sex, but they have a problem with that as well. And they quote Bible verse to corroborate their stance – as many people do when making an argument for or against sexual conduct.

As I’ve said before, when we can get rid of every substrata and simply label the human race “sexual” we’ll be much better off.

But in the meantime, at least according to the g0y movement, those straight guys who enjoy mutual whacking off, giving and receiving blow jobs, and getting in some awesome cock-to-cock action have a label they can attach to themselves without the fear of negative stigma belonging to societies’ (current) image of gay activity. 1And they’ll be fine unless they’re of Jewish descent; if they say they’re “goy” it might cause some confusion.  Visit g0ys and you can decide for yourself if this is right for you.

However, whatever label you choose for yourself, remember to embrace your manhood, because that’s what it’s there for. Whether alone, with your spouse or partner, or with a buddy or two, enjoy it and all the great pleasures it provides.

1.        Goy, goyim [Yiddish, from Hebrew gôy]; Used as a disparaging term for one who is not a Jew. A Jew ignorant of the Jewish religion.

Wow the intro page to that site has quite a few whoppers in there. I love the need to "normalize" themselves while continuing to disparage other men who love men. And I love the use of religion and religious text to give themselves permission to do what they get off doing, while continuing to condemn others for doing things they label as disgusting. I look forward to exploring this site more. It is fascinating. But I will be doing it as someone they would label a pervert :-) as a gay man who loves ass play unapologetically, in a 20 year life relationship with another man.

i think the g0y argument kind of falls apart when they get to ass play. sounds like they don't want to admit that ass play is intensely pleasurable for some guys, that lots of guys will goto the moon on a couple of fingers (no fluid exchange necessary), that many guys (out of respect for their partners) are big on anal cleanliness, etc. etc. Like whkattk said, although interesting, it is kind of a silly exercise in labeling.

Unfortunately people are always ready to put labels on others, especially those they might disapprove of. The me all man-to-man sexual play is something natural - the way it was always meant to be.

Aw, this was a really nice post. In idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally - taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.
