Monkey Wrenches

Where do the days go? The appointment with the attorney went well, but also informed us that my mom tossed a couple monkey wrenches into the mix one year after our dad died. Now we are faced with anywhere from 2 months to 2 years to straighten out the mess. We know she didn't mean this to be the case, but it is what it is.

Lots to do but it also becomes a "hurry up and wait" thing, too. My brother and I sit together with many conversations, trying to plan for all kinds of different outcomes.
Hopefully, though it will be a bit of a juggling act, I can return home and get back to some kind of normal routine soon.

I send a huge thanks! to all who have left comments and send messages of love and support. It means a lot. You people are awesome!

Blessings and best wishes always. Sorry this is such a hassle, but hopefully you can relax into the process and be at ease while you sort through the challenges. Take care.

It’s good to hear your voice out there! Now join the club of trying to resolve the issues. You’re not reinventing the wheel, plenty of folks have had to go through this and so there should be some good answers to questions. Always try Google you’ll be surprised that there are probably 10,000 people out there who asked the very same question - hugs and bisous.

My mother has been dead for over 10 years and her heritage is not shared yet. No news. It does not mean a lot of money and I need nothing, but it's infuriating. I hope it will be better and faster for you.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

It was so good to hear from you. The business of settling a person's estate can be a slow process. I remember my dad saying that it takes 9 months to come into this world and a year and a half to leave it. You and your brother will get through it. Know that we love you and miss you.
