A Winter storm struck last night. Heavy winds, thick black clouds, rain, and the temps dropped into the 40s. I had to turn on the heat. If you have never lived in the desert, this is equivalent to 30s where snow is a regular thing.
In Summer, the A/C doesn't go on until the temps hit 100F. I so want Summer to return.

As much as I used to fantasize about living in the desert, I don't think I'd really like it. It's getting cold here, too.
Come on now, you know you have six more months of this crap. It's getting
chilly here in Baltimore, and I agree with you, but we can't change the
weather.

A winter storm in the west?!?!? My...were still having warm weather here. I'm glad you didn't lose your electric. But the 30 and 40s isn't too cold for here. 40 and 50s is mild for winter for us.
Well... we are blessed with what we are given... sigh. And yes, we all want summer to last forever... but, this year, I am embracing fall... the colors are pretty. The temps are odd... but I'm adjusting. Winter on the other hand? Can kiss my saggy old azz. Kizzes.
We can change the weather. But it will take decades and a dizzying number of billions of dollars. And a lot of goodwill on the part of whole world leaders and their citizens. It will already be good if we slow down the evolution. It is not won in advance.

@ Mistress - In Summer, you get into the 90s...we get into the 110s. 40s is flipping COLD! LOL.
Humidity!!! I'll trade hot and dry for hot and humid. This is day three of rain; I wish it was colder.
