Monday Funnies

Good morning.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. It was Oscars or, as I like to call it, the handing out of the naked man with the sword. last night, and we had our usual gathering. A very strange mix of wins and the worst In Memoriam ever. I will say, if you have not seen American Fiction, based on the book, you're missing a real treat.

On to the Monday Funnies.

My favourite drawing is the one about what is his ideal partner according to his personal profile into the computer.

So true for so many men!

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Have a great Monday.

Several smiles on this drab Monday morning. I have seen men walk on the moon, but I am more thrilled about the prospect of a dryer that folds the laundry. Guess which one of the B Boys does laundry duty.

The Oscars were a mixed bag. I had fun, though.
And that first gentleman.... yes.

XOXO

They were all funny. I mean laugh out loud funny, what a great way to start Monday, especially the Monday after daylight saving time starts. And everybody was up late for the Oscars. Hugs and bisous.

Could be an urban myth, but I understand during the war, they flirted with the idea of re-labelling condoms to be Large, Huge and "Oh My God!".

I wish they had implemented the proposal.

John Cena missed an opportunity to present the Oscars, dressed like an Oscar, naked with a sword obscuring the dangly bits, but whoever dreamed up that stunt chickened out and used a placard. John Cena wasn't even naked as he had a skin toned cover front and back.

Isn't it about time men dropped the Victorian prudery towards nakedness, when the human body is natural and not disgusting?

@ Anon, March 12, 2024 at 12:00 AM - LOL. My wife and I said exactly the same thing about coming out with nothing but a sword to mimic the statuette.

Since it was telecast over regular broadcast airwaves, they had to hide the bits. Too bad, yes, that we still cannot seem to accept the human body without connecting it to sexual function.

The condom buyer deserves his fate for bringing 100 items to the 10 item clerk.

It was a homage to activist Robert Opel ran naked across the Academy awards stage 50 years ago!

All very funny.

I particularly liked the restroom iconography: why shouldn't men have a special room for their particular pressing relief at times? Oh, wait ... was that supposed to be a stylised baby? Mea Culpa, mea maxima culpa.

@ paulmmn - QuickDraw McGraw is not quite as much fun as "Die Hard" with Bruce Willis, in this respect.

@ Jean - We have The B Boys --- Bryn and Bruce to thank for them. Bruce is once again keeping me supplied!

@ Bruce - Thank goodness, that's the one chore I am not stuck with. She hates it when I do...cuz, of course, I always do it wrong! LOL.

I'm sure we've all seen the naked pics of John Cena. Not sure why he needed such a large envelope hiding his teeny weeny.
