Surrounded

Good morning.

I think.

It's cloudy and cool. Feels like mid-September.

Is it me, or does it feel like we're surrounded by weirdness now? 😉

The weirdness is only going to get worse.

Up here in Montréal were having the rest of Debby with poring rain and some flooded part of the city. It'll be better tomorrow and temperatures are fresher around the 70°F.
For the «weirdness» in USA it's an idea that we are experiencing witnessing your presidential election. All those personnal attacks and many false statements not to forget racial sad words are something you couldn't hear here in Canada.
Most weird is how a felon, rapist, thief, insurrectionist on Jan, 6 etc can be able to be a presidential candidate.
So many other weird things we see coming from your country.

Weird seems to be the new catchword, but for me it goes much deeper. Since 2015 my feelings and emotions have been on a rollercoaster ride, enough so I sought medical counsel and one medication now helps me cope with most of what we are experiencing now. My trepidation will wane for a time, then comes surging back to overwhelming proportions. At present I am confident the political outcome of this year's general election will yield favorable results. What frightens me now is the knowledge that many of our "fellow Americans" will not accept the results and we witnessed what damage they can do when things don't go their way. I dread the inevitable reaction of these followers of a man so damaged and tarnished. I fear for our way of life in the aftermath. Weird, yes, to put it mildly. But so much more...

Last evening, while rocking on the front porch, Maximus and I saw three different flocks of geese starting to head south for the winter. The fall peepers singing. Nature was loud.

It's not just you.

Weird says a lot. I’m not sure anyone wants to be called weird. We know a weird person when we see them. Happy weekend. Hugs and bisous.

I think you're right.

Good to hear you have a way of coping with it. We all need that. I love the Happy Warrior idea and I think it's what will bring the win.

LOL. That's part of the weird!

We do have a bunch of crazies running amok, that's for sure. But the mood here is changing. I'm hoping that we're turning a corner here --- though there is still a lot to overcome.

There will be backlash. A core of his followers will certainly go crazy and do very stupid things. I fear some of them will end up dead, and a lot of them will end up in prison.

Nature is good. But those geese should hold off a bit - it's still very warm down here!

Thank goodness!

Oh, my, do we know it when we see it. Though it appears fewer and fewer are attending. That he welcomed the "nasty, fake news" to a press conference sure said a lot - though in the end he still couldn't stop himself.
Hugs and bisous.

This weekend I have the visit of a gay couple of mine from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. They sold their condo in Florida because gay life there is becoming too,,,, weird and they no more feel safe. Joe is 84yo and John 81yo been together for more than 50years and now married too. So they told me that if «tRump» was elected they will come to live in Canada and maybe here in Montreal as they love the city.

It's important to have a plan, that's for sure. We have a friend in Nova Scotia who will take us in until we can settle there.

Personally going through one of the weirdest periods in my life... but I don't get a sense - other than the political spectrum - that it's affecting everyone. Maybe there is a universal energy change? It's been cooler than usual here, in MN, too. First rain... then cool. I just want me some heat. :P

Read The Fourth Turning. I think a lot of people are feeling it.

Even excluding politics it is weird, one of my apple trees has already shed all its fruit and the sycamore tree is changing to autumnal colors!! Normally does not happen until late September
