Thin Watery Cum

From the Mail Bag:

"I stumbled upon your blog quite recently and even though I only expected to do a quick sweep I found myself staying. It has been 5 days now and I have been working through each and every post. I enjoy what and how you do it! I have a ... a question... When I cum my semen is thick and milky and my friend says I shoot so much he cant swallow. But when he cums it is thin and watery. Why does semen differ like this? Sometimes we just jack off and either he uses my cum as lube or I his and I have noticed this difference. Also when he cums on me it burns, like really burns, my cum just feels warm when I cum on myself. Do you know why this is and is that why his cum is more watery than mine?"

So, all we can attribute the heat to is his normal body heat. The groin is naturally warmer - as are the underarms - than the rest of the body. Add in sexual arousal and activity of any kind and the heat quotient rises - especially around the genitals. I don't think it's anything he needs to truly worry about.

Watery semen - called Oligospermia - can be attributed to many factors but the primary reason is low sperm count. The lower the natural sperm count, the thinner - or, more watery - the fluid will seem. According to Healthline, these other issues can contribute to thin semen:
  • Varicocele. A varicocele is a swelling of veins from the testicles in the scrotum. It’s a major, but treatable, cause of male infertility.
  • Infection. Examples include a sexually transmitted disease such as gonorrhea or another kind of infection that causes inflammation of a reproductive organ, such as epididymitis.
  • Tumors. Malignant and benign tumors in the testicles may affect sperm production.
  • Hormone imbalances. Hormones produced in the testicles, pituitary gland, and hypothalamus are all necessary to produce healthy sperm counts. Changes in any of these hormones could affect sperm production.

Other causes of low sperm count can be: Retrograde ejaculation (most of the semen is ejected into the bladder); anti-sperm antibodies in the immune system; injuries (or other problems) with the spermatic cords.

Frequent ejaculation can also contribute to watery semen. If a guy cums multiple times in a day, it can become thinner with each ejaculation. That can be remedied by allowing sufficient time (at least a couple of hours) for the testicles to produce a more normal amount of sperm.

Another possible cause of thin, watery semen is Zinc deficiency.
Proper levels can help fight off any (possible) sperm antibodies produced by the immune system which mistakenly react to sperm as a foreign body, resulting in thicker cum.

A Bit of Wood

Speaking of pissing... Went to a show the other night; a small (150 seat) but full house. The venue has one men's restroom, which was out of order, and one women's (single stall). The line  stretched down the hall as everyone waited. One man in the middle of the line decided he couldn't wait..."Well, here's to parking lots!" and he walked out. A number of us guys followed to female voices: "Gross." "That's disgusting." Even a "Neanderthals." I shrugged, "The advantage of being a man." LOL.

Had the Ultrsound done on my balls yesterday.

6
A woman this time. I could tell by her demeanor that she was not happy about having to do it. Curt, almost to the point of rude. After inquiring about the issues, she had me pull my cock up against my abs...
7
OK, not a problem. I removed my hand from under the towel. "No, you have to hold onto it."
8
Then she made me cross my legs at the ankles so my balls were pushed up between my thighs, "I don't want anything moving."
9
I think she just wanted to ensure I didn't pop wood.

11
She needn't have worried, she had me cringing in pain several times. Gentle she was not. Ah, the disadvantage of being a man. Now I know what my wife feels like during her Mammograms. It would've been impossible to cover the varicoceles with the way she had me positioned. Not to mention, she didn't do the perineum at all.
12
I have a suspicion I'll be going in for another Ultrasound before we can get anything resolved.
13

But, if I have to do it over, the next time I'll insist on a male technician who isn't so damn skittish about the possibility of a bit of wood developing.
What's a boner between a medical professional and a patient, anyway?

Frozen Peas and Jock Straps

"Oh, my aching balls!" - Those were my exact words to a buddy of mine when I called him for advice. He's a roaming Forensic Pathologist; he fills in when Medical Examiners take vacations. The Varicoceles (essentially, varicose veins of the balls) were flaring. I was quite beside myself. I figured if he didn't know what to suggest to help until I got in to the Urologist, no one would.
2
"Do you have any peas in your freezer? Lay down, elevate your legs with pillows and put the peas on your groin.  When the swelling goes down, put on a jock strap, dude. A street jock, or light support jock strap. There are little tiny valves along the vessels to your balls. When they don't operate right, the blood has a tough time moving through. Gravity is working against you here, causing added pressure."

Well, I didn't have a jock. Out to the sporting good store I went. Have you ever seen the sheer number of styles available? Holy crap!

I finally had to ask for help. He didn't hesitate and pulled one from the rack, "This is what I wear every day."
12
Between the frozen peas, and the jock strap: Sweet relief! The Ultrasound is scheduled for tomorrow; we'll see just how much worse these things have gotten over the years since the last urologist told me to "learn to live with the pain." I wanted to say, "Fuck you!" I sighed and nodded and he walked out of the exam room.
12
The next time I see a dude at the day spa wearing a jock strap I won't question it.

Pain-free Functioning

I'm always harping on you guys to be open and honest with your doctors. Yesterday, I had my regular 6-month appointment with my Primary. Turns out she left, and I had been assigned a new one. This new woman is young. I mean, very young. And pretty. That, however, did not stop me from discussing the issues I've been having with my balls.
2
The previous primary and my neurologist had been kicking this can back and forth for more then two years. It's time to deal with this. Varicocele on both sides, and muscle cramps of the taint. "OK," she says. "Have you ever had an ultrasound done on your balls?" Almost five years ago. She orders another ultrasound. I'm to get this done and then call Urology for an appointment.
3
If you recall, the last time I had an ultrasound on my nuts, it took about 30 minutes. And I developed a raging boner about half way through.
4
Since this test will last longer and include the taint, well, my cock will probably stand up much sooner than the last time. But at least I know what to expect. And I can warn the technician to expect it.

I do practice what I preach. The equipment is important.

Pain-free functioning is very important.

None should be painful. And, no, I'm not talking about the "hurts so good" cum pain. LOL.
