How sad is it that we have lost two very wonderful blogs?
More of the Same (Life in the Village) and Pursuit of Beauty, both created and administered by the kind, loving, and gracious Lord Patrick were unceremoniously shut down by Blogger. Patrick has decided that he does not want to go through the effort of recreating them. I can't blame him - the blogging is more work than it would appear on the surface, which is why we bloggers so appreciate comments and emails from readers. And why we appreciate being asked to remove an offending photo before a complaint is made to Blogger.
My liege, I shall miss both of your blogs - though rest assured I still send you daily hugs!
A comment on Perpetual (Cock) Shame said, "Bravo! unfortunately, you're only preaching to the choir."
Yes, that may be the case. Yet, I hold out hope that "the choir" is then going out and spreading the word, so that men and women of all ages will cease perpetuating the ridiculous notion that men should be ashamed of their cocks. I can only hope that one day, we never have to feel as though we must hide what we have, that film and television can show male frontal nudity without being condemned, and men can walk proudly with those bulges...

That instead of feeling shame over an erection, every damn one can be celebrated.
Bravo Bulges!

How very sad indeed. I always feel a piece of myself is lost when wonderful blogs go down. My best wishes to Lord Patrick.
Absolutely we need your encouragement to celebrate our penises. It does keep reminding us all to go forth and celebrate cock! Wishing you a bonerific day, bro. Hugs and Strokes, AOM
Everything's hunky dunky on Tumblr - no malware, nobody sitting in judgment and I have more followers now than I ever had on Blogger.
The laudative adjectives which you associate in the name of Lord Patrick are amply deserved and I join to it.
"Unceremoniously" is too the least we can say and it is a shame for the name of Blogger which by making that applies a double punishment to the administrator (we are not its owner) of the blogs which they murder.
The only real way to protect oneself is to choose a site on which the hosting is not free. I pay only approximately 60 dollars a year for my blog at Overblog and I have never had any problem nor any warning because to punish me would be the loss of their life annuity.
I hope that Lord Patrick will have a change of mind after the mourning of his blog, and at least that he will go on visiting gay blogs.
Bidding him and bidding you a great day, my dear friends.
Do you have my email, my Lord? Keep in touch!
It seems all Bloggers would be given the opportunity to pull something the viewer feels offensive. But where does that end? Je suis Charlie and all. The magazine Charlie Hebdo had a circulation of about 60,000. When it comes out here in Paris tomorrow, they have said they will print 3 Million copies!!
As a woman, I support your right to keep us informed and educated!! Jean
@ Jean,
You are right, but it's only one time and their only opportunity while they will have big expenses. On the other hand the number of the subscriptions considerably increased, and that is more long-lasting. But for how long?
It is not an advertising operation, it was a real attack.
I heard on the radio somebody who explained his desire to leave France by fear of the terrorists although he has an excellent situation with big incomes, a very beautiful very comfortable house and all his friends and relatives in Paris.
During the last 10 years the number of the French persons killed by terrorists is one thousand times lower that the numbers of the deaths which occured in road accidents.
can understand and/or imagine why Lord Patrick's blogs were closed! any ideas?
sure, boners are great!!!
my last post:

@ Xersex - The reason they gave Lord Patrick was "breach of contract" with no further explanation. Which means he posted a photo for which someone claimed the copywrite. Rather than contact our LP, they complained to Blogger.
@ O!Daddie - and yet, several months ago, Your French Patrick got shut down by Tumblr and he had to begin again.
@ Jean - I hope you are enjoying your Paris trip. And, I thank you for your support - and for the comments.
What a shame about Lord Patrick's blogs. I will miss visiting his village.
@ Xersex & @ whkattk
The copyright's owner wrote to Blogger because Blogger is the only one owner of LP's blog and of all the other blogs.
From a legal point of view, it is what he had to make.
We are nothing more that the administrators of "our" blog.
In a way (and the others) we are (and have accepted to be) voluntary slaves who work for Blogger or Tumblr etc. for free and who have no right and no legal existence.
Bisous, my friends.
@ MFP - Yet, mon ami, I have had a couple people contact me to inform me I did not have permission to have posted their photo, and asked for it to be removed. I complied, and asked them to verify the proper one had been taken down, they did so, and all was well (thank goodness!).
