As a Canadian and like the rest of the democratic world I was shocked and sad to see all those outrageous actions from DJT minions deplorables violating the sacred Capitol.

USA has to do a huge change it the way politics are done and specially in the era of internet communications that allows any «imbecile» to put such bad conspiracy theories and fake news.

Where were the police and the FBI etc...
If it would have been a manifestation like the BLM in last June, thousand of policemen would be there to fight ferocely against this crowd of thugs.

The GOP were the cowardest to stand behind this «fake president» for too long time.

Shame on all those who allowed and encouraged this «farce».

It is a terrible, a dreadful day for democracy all over the world. Fortunately, his coup attempt failed and will make him lose more than what he hoped to win.

Hugs ans bisous, my darlings chéris, with all my condolences.

He's only got 2 weeks... I hope there are enough sensible people around him to keep him from doing something -really- stupid.

Peace and love to you. This too shall pass, and hopefully without too much more damage to our institutions.

I feel ya. I've been in a funk since I saw it on the webs.
Disgust, anger, weeping, rage, loss, livid, vengeful, all of it.
In some ways it's a good thing it's happening now and not after Jan. 20. This way the Trump supports can see he did it to himself, and he can't be a martyr.

The best words of comfort I found was from James Corden. Our country has been highjacked for four-years, but this too shall end and there is a new beginning.

The best is yet to come.

The sun will come out and perhaps we will be better and stronger than before. That is my hope. Wishing you all the very best, my Dear Friend. Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM

@ Six - Yes, I am afraid you are right. While the main news channels focused on DC, other states' capitols and Gov residences were also being attacked. And these insurrectionists are promising more.

I believe that this episode, which certainly had a strong impact on the whole world, is destined to end (I hope without leaving traces). You are at the center of the interest and the wonder of the world. Ten years ago, we Italians were at the center of the scandal of Europe, if not the world. I know how it feels: bad. I assure you that ten years ago I got up every morning wondering if I would still find Italy.

so gon on and let's wait for next 20 january

It was a very rough thing to watch happen in our country. I made my boys watch and watch Congress reconvene so they can see how to forge on and not give into bullies. - Dad

@ Dad - It sure was. I applaud you for having your boys watch the congressional process. Quite a valuable learning experience.

I guarantee you Democrats will redouble their efforts to appease Republicans and win the Confederacy, dead Boomers, and China, while ignoring people who can actually vote for them or worse.
