I Should Have

Ever use a mandoline for slicing?

I sliced off the tip of a thumb while getting dinner ready for my FIL

I should have stuck to the knife.

Typing is more difficult than I imagined. So, I leave you with...

I hope you enjoyed our newest official holiday and had a wonderful Juneteenth.

I hope you had a most lovely Summer Solstice.

I hope you had a terrific Father's Day.

OUCH!!!! I have never used one...I use my favorite knife to slice and dice. Hope your finger mends quickly.

I have always told my one friend to be carful when he cooks in the nude. He blew me off. Then one day a knife slipped, and cut his cock on the way to the floor. Another time, he dropped a hot pan of something and burnt his cock and still has a scar from that. Cooking nude scares the hell out me. I did it once but had on an apron. Two things I won't do nude, cook and ride a bike. One false move and an accident. I like my dick too much to risk it.

Next time-- I think you're supposed to hold the Object To Be Sliced with the palm of your hand to reduce the chances of such injuries. Of course that makes the meaty part of the palm of the hand the next candidate.

You need the Veg-a-Matic! "Sliced firm, ripe tomatoes with one stroke!"

I don't know why but at first I thought you cut off the tip of your penis.
Though you did say the tip of a thumb.
I was undoubtedly influenced by the illustrations
I prefer that.
Without underestimating your embarrassment and your pain.

Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

Well! Thank the maker you weren't using your cock to slice the vegetables!

I've been perfectly capable of slicing my fingers using a knife; a mandolin will only make it slice that much faster...

Dude, anyone who has worked in a restaurant has used a mandolin at some point. I'm surprised you had so much trouble with it. But now I know the first thing to do if I ever become a criminal: Slice off my fingerprints.

What a bummer!! I hope you heal quickly!

I did the same thing yesterday while slicing cucumbers for pickles. I am usually very careful but was not careful enough. I found the guard and will use it from now on.

I read your comment about the mandoline and my pain from YEARS ago came back. I was a manager with Hardee's restaurant and you were supposed to wear a wire glove when cleaning the roast beef slicer but I was just wiping off something left behind from an employee who cleaned it and cut the tip of a middle finger off. I did it enough that it exposed a nerve. Needless to say, the next few weeks were not good and that night and the next day were horrible. I hope you feel better and heal quickly!!

Ouch!
I bought a top notch mandoline a few years back and used it a few times until the same occurred to me. I tossed the Devil's device to the recycle bin and it took more than three weeks for the tip of my index to fully recover.
I since bought an electrical slicer/grater which does the job perfectly and with the vegetables only...
I wish you a fast healing :-)

See? That's why I stay away from the kitchen.
Happy Juneteenth!

Ouch! Hope the finger doesn't incapacitate you too much. Great pics today. Thanks.

oh no!! So sorry. Those things are terrifically sharp for a reason, they do the job really well.

Mandolines are wonderful, but dangerous. Welcome to the mandoline slice club. Love the dad/son pics!

Sorry .to hear of the mandoline incident. I’ve caught fingers in a regular grater, and that’s bad enough. Yes Juneteenth and Fathers Day were both fun. Thank you for photo #6 - that stunning African American - he is beautiful! I’ve always liked a bit of color in my life(!) Sadly my dad is long since gone, but we were a naturist family, so I got to enjoy him naked (mom too, but that’s another matter!), but I have to photos like the fine set you posted. Thank you, again!

@ Mistress - Well, guess I've been lucky...never injured my cock while cooking or grilling. 😁

@ Paul - Palm...yep, I've sliced that too. Oy.

@ Frank - My wife is always after me to use the guard. I think I've finally learned. LOL

@ Gay Dad - Yikes! Thank goodness I didn't take off much.

@ Don - Thanks for the club welcome! LOL. Glad you liked the father/son photos- wish I could find more to use as an example for men to shed the shame.

@ Six - I think I may have learned my lesson! XOXO

@ Paul - How wonderful to have grown up in a naturist family. To be taught we have nothing we should be ashamed of is the way everyone should be raised.

OMG, that sounds painful & so uncomfortable. I hate when cuts like that happen 🤷‍♂️ I'm clumsy so, happens to me often... Luckily, I have nails so even when I use the knife, I cut only them 😜 So awesome to have 'em 👏🏻
