Pride Is About

Pride is about shedding shame.

The culture wars aren't just waging battles against the LGBTQ+ or BIPOC communities. They are after anything they deem "offensive," that which doesn't fit into their narrative.

For many that includes the human body.

Particularly, the male body.

You should not be ashamed of what nature has provided.

Have a happy, fun-filled first weekend of Pride.

Pride should know extensions throughout the year and fight against abusive censorship such as the one that led Tumbl to delete my blog from them, a blog that had attracted more than 17,000 subscribers, without notice and without explanation because of I don't know what photo they badly digested.

I hope that won't happen to any of you between now and the next Pride.

Have a happy, fun-filled year of Pride, my honeys Jean and Pat.

It always makes me wonder what these conservative bigots have against the naked human body. I mean for god sakes what are they doing they look in the mirror naked, start praying and throw a holy water on themselves?

Beautiful post. Thanks.

I have heard some people say, because certain other people do not have what they perceive as perfect bodies, they should not be naked. My body is not perfect because of a large emergency appendectomy scare. I am glad to be alive and enjoy nudity in spite of the scar.

Does anybody wonder why nudity, sexuality is always the issue for censorship, but never war, violence, death, destruction?
Have a good weekend. Hugs and bisous.

How nice of the volley ball players and boys on the dock to plump up for the pic! That seems to happen a lot at the Rock River gay swimming hole - well, not the pix which aren't permitted, so you have to same them in your memories...

@ Jean - Well, I think 50% of us do. Convincing the other 50% seems to be a challenge nobody can manage to overcome. Hugs and bisous.

@ MFP - Yes, that's always the way of censorship which is running rampant in our country. Hope we can get things turned around before next Pride. Hugs and bisous, mon ami.

Censorship: The loss of Tumblr and Newtumpler blogs is huge! I've had b lo g g e r notify me that a few of my posts to my own blog have been questioned. They allowed the opportunity to edit and repost and I deleted some oblique references to commercial sites and that seemed to do the trick. Hope this comment doesn't trigger any reprisals!
