Thank you everyone for all the comments and email messages. They do give me a boost - especially on a rough day. It seems to be a mixed bag now: One good day, a couple of bad days. Repeat. So, I hope you'll forgive the sporadic nature of posting.

I'm glad you're back and on the road to recovery. Having your insides re-arranged takes your body weeks if not months to put itself back together! My only experience that's any way similar is doing exercises to 'cure' my back problems. It took months, and I didn't realize it was doing any good until I found myself galloping up the stairs one day! So don't be overly concerned that the staples, stitches, and superglue didn't fix everything instantly!
