I received this email from the Google Blogger Team late last night:
Hello everyone,
This week, we announced a change to Blogger’s porn policy. We’ve had a ton of feedback, in particular about the introduction of a retroactive change (some people have had accounts for 10+ years), but also about the negative impact on individuals who post sexually explicit content to express their identities. So rather than implement this change, we’ve decided to step up enforcement around our existing policy prohibiting commercial porn.
Blog owners should continue to mark any blogs containing sexually explicit content as “adult” so that they can be placed behind an “adult content” warning page.
Bloggers whose content is consistent with this and other policies do not need to make any changes to their blogs.
Thank you for your continued feedback.
The Blogger Team
It would appear the backlash has worked. If you were one of the people - like me - who took the time to send a message regarding the new policy, we Bloggers of Adult Content surely thank you.
My readers are important to me. Unfettered access is the only way for a truly free society to exist.
I will be back later with a new post.

Well, that's good news !!
Let FREEdom ring !!
let's hope! nothing received till now!
That is unfricknbelievable. So can I continue doing what I was doing? I have not received that e-mail. Did you get it in response to your email to them. Wow! Maybe I can move back home! LOL I am going to keep both AOMs up after that date to see what happens. Thanks for the info. Hugs and Strokes and have a super weekend. AOM
Is this for real. Half of me was hoping Google would back down on their threat.
I guess they realized that this move would probably have been the final nail in the coffin for Blogger.
Thanks for the news!!!
This is really interesting, and welcome, news! Did other bloggers get this too, I wonder?
AWESOME!
Thank you so much for the good news . It is good to hear especially coming from someone I'm a big fan of ! I believe with so many people moving to their competition they decided to back down.
The great Ayatollah Google pull his pants up and down and changes his mind as often (perhaps more) as he changes his shirt.
As regards me I am not changeable as the weather, and anyway they still forbid the porn the borders of which are matter of variable geometry and not of arithmetic.
Not to say that Google deserves to be punished.
Woo hoo!🍌
True? I hope so! Thanks for the news. I was trying till late last night to create a blog on TUMBLER without much success! Now I don't have to worry about it! Hugs et Bisous, Patrick
Yesterday, it was a matter of "posting revenge porn, private pics hacked from celebs' accounts, child porn, etc, etc." and now the fact that there are a lot of protests from all these depraved persons is more important?
LOL.
Remember what they said first: you must delete all that is porn if you want to go on with your Blogger.
Porn is still forbidden.
Even wanking may be said to be porn.
Even an erection may be said to be porn.
@ MFP - Well, yes, I suppose those things could be considered porn. But their email specifically states "commercial porn" - which (thankfully) does not include my blog (since it is strictly prohibited mind you).
I do think I will follow AOM's lead and create a Tumblr blog anyway. It's called "hedging one's bets." :-)
Bisous, mon ami!
I have opened their links "other policies" and you seem to be right.
It's incredible!
They are absolutely ridiculous.
