Common But Rare

Broken down by gender, it's a common but rare occurrence. But, men can and do get yeast (candida) infections
Which is why it is sometimes considered an STD for men. We get them by having unprotected sex. And it's becoming more common. And common to pass it back and forth ad infinitum should partners not get treatment at the same time.
The symptoms are an irritation and/or soreness of the glans, white patches of skin on the shaft or head.
And it can itch like crazy. If it descends into the urethra - a man is likely to wish his cock would fall off. Untreated, it can lead to Balinitis - an severe inflammation of the cockhead. Male yeast infections are easily treated with an OTC anti-fungal cream. So, why a man would ever allow his cock to get this bad before seeking medical attention is beyond me.

Oral yeast infections, called Thrush,
can be contracted via oral sex.

You are more likely to develop Balinitis if you are uncircumsized (because the yeast infection has a nice warm, moist place to hide and grow), if you take antibiotics for a prolonged period of time, have diabetes, have an impaired immune system, are overweight, or - gross guys!! - you have poor hygiene practices. And poor hygiene means not skinning back the hood when you piss;
4
not skinning it back to wash the head every day, which, chances are, will lead to a boner...

But, big deal. If it happens, take some time to enjoy it.

Keep your cock healthy, guys.
It's most like the only one you'll get.

It is terrible and disgusing but important to know.
Skinning back the hood of the cock is not always easy, the phimosis involves an inability to retract foreskin.
There are also yeast infections of the vagina.
We shall never say enough that the condoms protect not only from the AIDS.
Ketoconazole is used to treat yeast infections of the mouth, throat, and esophagus, fungal infections throughout the whole body, and serious fungal infections of the skin and nails.
I wish you a wondrous day, my darling, with a lot of bisous.

Diet heavy in sugars and over processed grain products can trigger a yeast infection. It is a delicate balance. Women are encouraged to cut back on junk food and add yogurt to build up resistance.

Dr's always recommended yogurt when taking antibiotics to rebuild the digestive bacteria flora that antibiotics destroy along with the bad bacteria. Otherwise the balance gets messed up and you get the yeast infection along with the bacterial infection you're fighting.
