"It took me some time to get my courage up to send this but the recent post about getting hard during an ultrasound made me decide to share. Those ads on TV about PD convinced me to see my doctor. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. With the help of your blog, I am beginning to learn that there is nothing for me to be embarrassed about when dealing with male related medical concerns. Just as I'm starting to get more accustomed to discussing medical concerns, my doctor surprised me by randomly asking about my sexual preferences. It was so unexpected and took me by surprise I'm sure I must have had a look on my face. What makes me feel bad is the fact that I wasn't entirely truthful and just when I was getting comfortable with my doctor. Now I feel like I ruined the trust we were establishing, and he'll think I lie about other things.
@ Anon - Now, don't put yourself in that position. He took you by surprise, it's understandable. Sometimes doctors need more complete information if they are to advise you on certain illnesses and medications. The trust and comfort can be reestablished. Just remember they've seen it and heard it.
