It's been rough going. As the number of COVID-19 cases rise (again), hospitalizations are up (again), if we aren't a bit more cautious, we're headed for another mandatory lock-down.
Do yourself a favor. Stay in and do something novel.
Read a novel.
Or kick back and listen to one.
It can be very stimulating.
When's the last time you enjoyed a good book?

It's just unbelievable this virus. Looks like my hands will still be mu best friends!!!
Hmmm
Men and books! Two of my fav things!!
OXOX
I read every night before I close my eyes. Love it. I mix it up... a classic, a piece of trash, a well-reviewed work of fiction, more trash... love it. My new favorite thing to do at the prairie? Read. Under my oak tree. Talk about stress free. I get up and walk around once in a while, to get me some sun. But otherwise, under my tree on a blanket without a stitch on. Love me some summer.
I hope you'll avoid another mandatory lock-down.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has repeatedly downplayed the severity of the virus, and now he has tested positive for Covid-19.
He reminds me another president whose name escapes me for the moment and who is just as stubborn and self-satisfied as the Brazilian.
It is not enough to have a loudmouth to be right. Alas the Covid-19 doesn't just attack those who downplay its powers, and so you're right.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
Reading is FUN and Mental! Very good advice. Let us use our time to do things we didn't have time to do before. I wish you all the very best, my Friend. Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM
Do audio books count? I like oral stimulation...I mean aural stimulation! LOL!
I agree with you and encourage everyone to chill a little longer so we don't have to start over with the shutdowns again.
Cyber hugs to you and to all of your blog family!
I know, it's back again. Ugh! 😏
Well the dude in that last GIF is surely enjoyin' it... 💦
The book, of course! 😜
Constant reader here... generally three books going at any one time, plus the morning papers every second or third day. great advice. reading expands the mind. But I just wanted to say, re Covid, the border between NSW and Victoria, Australia's main economic powerhouses, has just been closed as of yesterday (it never was) and Melbourne, the capital of Victoria is in complete lockdown again. Australia of course hasn't experience anywhere near the severity of cases as the USA but Victoria and Melbourne in particular has just had a (relatively) large spike.
@ Gabriel - Yes, audio books count!
why shouldn't not audio books count?
@ Xersex - Right? It's still the words of the book.
How could I have missed so many days?
Wonderful post!
