I've received several responses to my request for updates. This was the first to come in:
"Pat, I think most may remember our situation. I divorced my wife after she "found" religion and made life miserable but she retained custody of our sons. When she caught them masturbating with a couple of their friends she went crazy. Screamed at them and hit them while they dressed and threw them out of the house. A week later she insisted they return or she'd take me to court. The boys refused to leave and I really didn't know what to do. You and your readers said the kids should be old enough to decide where they wanted to live and to petition the judge. How right you were. The judge granted me custody of the oldest (R) and a year later did the same for my youngest (r).
Readers may recognize that they both read this blog and comment from time to time. They've turned out to be well-adjusted, young men, both in college, and doing really well. And still jerk off with their friends. I really could not be more proud of them. I will be forever thankful that I stumbled across your blog in a desperate search to see if mutual masturbation was a normal thing and asked for help. - Dad"
I have the best Faithful Readers. They make up a community of men (and women) who help others. I'm always grateful to them for the suggestions and advice they can add.

I know the posts on your blog aren't here to make us giggle but like with most of your posts, I giggled. 😜 Anyways, it's perfectly fine to experiment and get to know your own body. 👌🏻 So, it's a green light from me. 💚
As long as it's healthy. ✔
Well, religion is a tool of repression. I'm not surprised that the wife found jeebus and became a raging lunatic at the idea of her sons having sex (and she probably thought they were gay, on top of that).
Glad the husband (and the sons) found a way to leave that hot mess behind.
XOXO
What a wonderful follow-up! (And, as always, great visuals.)
Great to hear from some past responders. Thank you so much for the great forum that you provide. Hope you are well.
Religions are made for that: to rot our lives, to reduce us to slavery, to bring us hardship, remorse, to shame us, to make us feel guilty.
We should give them everything and receive nothing. We should be martyrs.
And yet there are countless people who want a religion and ask for more.
Sorry, other than masochism I have no explanation.
Hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.
I remember the father/sons. Back then we used to think our lives were complicated and then came covid19.
I hope everyone is staying safe. Hugs and bisous.
What a great outcum.!.
I love happy stories like this.
Whilst "Dad" is rightfully proud of his sons, I think he too should feel proud to have risen to the challenge of preparing his sons to have a better life not having to re-invent the wheel through trial and error or suppress their potential quality of life through shame.
However, I was wondering whether the openness engendered through this process has had spin-off benefits for "Dad" in opening his eyes to options he would not have otherwise considered for himself. He would likely have been brought up at a different time when Fathers were too uncomfortable to properly prepare their sons and felt compelled to toe the traditional line as the only option.
It's not only Fathers who have been indoctrinated into a particular life path: it's obvious many women feel compromised by male behaviour that they have been told is "unacceptable" or which they find otherwise to be threatening in some way.
Its such a good outcome for these lads, and their Dad! I'm very pleased that I was able to offer what turned out to be a helpful suggestion: them reading your blog! and its my hope that eventually the Mum will see sense and reconcile with the guys. You do good work here Pat.
Well, glad it worked out for that Dad and his sons. Hope all is well. Have a lovely weekend.
We weren't following your blog when this father appealed for help. Honest, practical advice for a man worried about his children. Bless you all.
On another note...don't forget today is th 15th...it's time for your Buddy Ball Check.
@ Jean - Yep. And then came the double whammy: Trump and COVID.
@ Jeffrey - Yes, and thank you for helping them to resolve their issue.
yet another demonstration that your blog is very useful!
Might be interesting to pose a question to the women readers out there to inquire why so many of their sex find men (especially young men among themselves) who are exploring and relishing in their testosterone infused, horny bodies......as something abhorrent to be condemned and screamed at.
Maybe males and females are not the same? (There is a novel idea these days.) Younger guys are revved up and curious about lots of things. They want to explore the limits on most anything.....sex, food, cars or playing baseball.
Human behavior is what it is. Religion just makes it go underground even further.....IMO.
TBH, Trump was a result of at least 40 years of events, some in broad daylight, others in that liminal political space we all pretend doesn't exist: The place of shell corporations, front groups, advertising dollars, outraged constituents refusing to vote after being betrayed by their party one too many times, and surprisingly wealthy hatemongers.
Just remember, the next one will be competent.
