I have no answers for yet another mass shooting over the weekend. The LGBTQ+ community, the Jewish community --- well, any "other" community --- is still under heavy attack. All we can do is bond together to help one another when and where we can.
It seems that more and more we must depend on the kindness of strangers for help. Faithful Reader Michael was in a car accident and is now permanently confined to a wheelchair. He lives about 12km (about 7.5 miles) from his nearest grocer in a rural area without public transportation. With help, he can purchase a used car. If you can find it in your heart and pocketbook...

Some of our politicians have adopted the technique of blaming a minority group for all of the ills of modern civilization. The Jews. The LGBTQs. Women. Native Americans. Any smaller group that will have a hard time debunking the lies thrust upon them. (Can we ban lies on Fox news?)
And when someone does fly off the rails ("Goes Postal") all of the politicians weep and wail and lament the fact that Our Civilization Has Failed!

This gun control and gun legislation or should I say lack of from either party is getting ridiculous. But I surmise it will never change as long as so many of them are in the pockets of gun lobbyists and the NRA. How many times have both parties had control and could have did something and didn't?
There's so many Michaels I can't keep them straight. Is this the Michael that had a Blog? I will certainly go check out his GoFundMe when I have a chance.
I have reached the point where I am seriously considering emigration. The constant slaughter is terrifying. The rise of the Right is equally so.
I heard the club murderer was pistil whipped, with his own gun, by the guy who took the gun from him. I admire his restraint. Afraid I would have done more damage to that low life's face. I think some people think we are week because we are gay.
Yes, hatred is alive and well, and there appears to be plenty available, and every community is fair game.
Looks like the retired Army Major used muscle power, not gun power to bring down the CO shooter.
He, his wife and family were there to enjoy the drag show, and when the shooting started, he followed his military training. That's what we're going to have to do if given the opportunity, be there to help each other.

We are lucky, we can and do pee off our porch.
My neighbor knocked on my door just as I started to splooge! And crap, there's no off-switch or valve to stop, so I just had to let it finish shooting, clean-up, and track him down.
@ Maddie - Not sure if he ever ran a blog. We've emailed a few times over the years and he's always seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I thought it worth helping him. I hope others do, too.
@ UtahJock - Nope. No off switch for that! LOL. You did the right thing.
@ BigDude - We put that on hold when the elections turned out better than expected...but the more I hear of what McCarthy and Marjorie Butt Face have planned we're rethinking it all.
@ Hooter - Our neighbors are close, but the fences provide the necessary separation to enable me to do the same.
His plot was foiled by a microbrewer and a drag queen. Almost poetic, no?
