Passed Out While Pissing

It's such a common, normal thing we all do, right? Waking in the middle of the night to take a piss,
He woke, quite groggy, from a deep sleep needing to pee. As explained to his dad: he walked to the bathroom, his boner dissipated (though it took some prodding to get his son to admit he had a boner).

He stood in front of the toilet and pissed...

passed out and hit the floor like a ton of bricks, breaking his two front teeth and lower jaw, and gashing his right cheek and forehead.
Medical sites, like Mayo Clinic, say it's uncommon and happens mostly to older guys. It's a sudden drop in blood pressure. The medical term is micturition syncope. The exact cause isn't really known, but it's thought to be the vasodilation (opening) of the blood vessels when standing and urinating

which results in a sudden loss in blood pressure. Though the medical community says it's uncommon, I believe it happens more than they realize. It's happened to me, my father-in-law, and own father and brother. Though the medical community also says it happens mostly to older guys, it has happened to my brother-in-law, and one of my nephews. All resulting in nothing more than a few bruises and, in my own case, an elbow busted a hole in the drywall next to the toilet. But, in the case I cited above, this was the late-teen son of one of my wife's co-workers.

There can be underlying causes; dehydration, excessive alcohol, hunger, fatigue, use of alpha blockers for BPH (enlarged prostate) which is why it happens mostly to older men), or other underlying medical conditions.

Two things you can do to avoid injury: 1. Don't get out of bed too fast; sit on the side for a minute or so and move your legs to get the blood pumping through your body. 2. In the middle of the night, sit down to pee.
When waking up needing to pee? Sit!

The number of issues we solely face as men are numerous. If we'd discuss them we could save others a lot of trouble and pain. Put away the embarrassment of your cock.

Talk with your buddies when you hear about something like this - or if something happens to you. Spread important information.

Has happened to me only once. I was actually in hospital when it happened. Some bruises but nothing worse. Lovely sunny morning here, but only 10C at present. The day will certainly warm up.

I've not ever heard of it happening, but I have had light headed-ness which I thought was a result of blood pressure change. Good advice to move slowly upon getting out of bed - take time to adjust before moving. I hope you are well and feelin' fine, bro. Wishing you a bonerific day! Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM

I was not aware of this, but it's coincidental that you should mention sitting down to pee. Some friends and I had a bit of an email discourse about sitting down to pee, which I've done for years simply because it takes less energy than standing. But a couple of friends cited the bladder not emptying completely because of the angle. Whatever, I still sit to pee.

Really interesting phenomenon. Especially after a bout of flu, you can be lightheaded already, and need to be mindful. Pushing October we need cooler weather. A/C still running. Bisous to you and FP.
